The U.S. government plans to use the downtown Dallas convention center to hold up to 3,000 immigrant teenagers as sharply higher numbers of border crossings have severely strained the current capacity to hold youths, according to a memo obtained by The Associated Press.
The announcement comes amid comments from Texas Governor Gregg Abbott on March 9 who called the situation at the border an ongoing humanitarian crisis. “This crisis as a result of President Biden’s policies invites illegal immigration and is creating a humanitarian crisis for Texas,” said Gov. Abbott. “His administration is helping the cartels make money and grow stronger.”
The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center will be used for up to 90 days beginning as early as this week, according to written notification sent to members of the Dallas City Council on Monday. Federal agencies will use the facility to house boys ages 15 to 17, according to the memo, which describes the soon-to-open site as a “decompression center.”
U.S. Health and Human Services is rushing to open facilities across the country to house immigrant children who are otherwise being held by the U.S. Border Patrol, which is generally supposed to detain children for no more than three days. The Border Patrol is holding children longer because there is next to no space in the HHS system, similar to the last major increase in migration two years ago.
A tent facility operated by the Border Patrol in Donna, some 165 miles (265 kilometers) south of Dallas, is holding more than 1,000 children and teenagers, some as young as 4. Lawyers who inspect immigrant detention facilities under a court settlement say they interviewed children who reported being held in packed conditions in the tent, with some sleeping on the floor and others not able to shower for five days.

And how exactly are 3000 young men going to be able to shower at the Convention center? From when the Republican State Convention was held there, it’s just miles and miles of wide, hard-tiled floors and lots of modern art. I didn’t see any showers. Does the Convention Center have a hotel built-in? I think there a privately owned high end hotel adjacent though, are they going to commandeer that? Will room service at taxpayer expense also be included?
It's time for Abbott to say NO! He needs to charter busses, round up these individuals and drive them right back to Mexico.

At a bare minimum, who runs that Convention center? They need to refuse this rental to the Feds.
I’ve been thinking about all of these kids coming here without parents. If a US Citizen were to send their kids thousands of miles away from home alone or with strangers, we’d probably be charged with child abuse/neglect!
Not only that, most kids would scream and/or not go anywhere with a stranger.

At this rate, Biden will have filled up our country with all of the excess kids from around the world. What about our kids, what about our country, what about our culture, what about our history? Is all of this so easily thrown away by replacing our generation of kids with all of these kids from around the world? Our schools and communities are already swamped with illegal alien children, anchor babies, etc. Now Biden is making it a policy to completely replace our citizens, to make us a minority in our own country.I cannot think of a worse treason then what Biden is committing.

The PERSON, the unique individual who runs the convention center and approved this needs to be doxed and face the consequences of this decision.
Agencies don’t flood migrants in, people do.
Their parents will be here with chain migration very shortly. Along with siblings and relatives and anyone else they can schemed claim as part of their respective families. The only winners out of this are the source countries that illuminate their excess, unwanted, ignorant population.
