More than 55 Democratic state legislators called Thursday for Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign — and the Assembly speaker said he would hold a meeting later in the day “on potential paths forward.”
The statement from Cuomo’s fellow Democrats cited both the spiraling sexual harassment allegations against him and the cover-up of the total nursing home death toll and said that “he has lost the confidence of the public and the state legislature, rendering him ineffective in this time of most urgent need.”

My question is, why now? Why is Schumer and Gillabrand and the others doing this. Is it to get rid of the guy before the scandal gets worse ala the Nursing Homes?

This is an intra-Democrat purge.
He’s probably the last Clintonista who has a chance to oppose Harris or whoever the deep state puts up once Biden gets pushed down the stairs.
Note how Cuomo is being purged with “wokeness” - not with anything he did under coronavirus - because that would taint Democrat coronavirus narratives and of course, put other Democrat governors under scrutiny.

Yes, that’s exactly what it is. His replacement is a faithful liberal Democrat...and a woman. It’s a win/win/win for Dems.
Why? He did everything he was told to prolong the Covid tragedy and in the process kill a few 10s of thousands of people.
He really pissed off the God Father, maybe killed some mob family members in the process.

They eliminate Cuomo from ever challenging Harris for the WH or creating a brokered Dem Convention.
I STILL SAY that the Republicans there should demand something out of the Democrats before joining them to get rid of Cuomo, such as a loosening of gun laws.
Why help bail them out, if our side gets nothing in return?
The democrats only want to get rid of him so they can put someone much worse in his place.
Cuomo is a rich, ugly, old horn dog. He is the kind of guy who should pay hookers for their services and leave other women alone. He probably thinks that he is God’s gift to women and a guy like him does not have to pay for sex. If he had hired pros and paid them with envelopes with $100 bills inside and introduced himself to the girls by saying “Hello my name is Bob let’s have some fun” nobody else would know. Hookers have business ethics and they will not rat on you as long as you keep paying....that is what I have been told.
He said the other day he wasn’t going anywhere. Famous last words or is he going the Northam route and digging in? If he holds on will the dims use the nursing home scandal to dislodge him as a last resort?
Aren’t 55 plus the Republicans enough to impeach him? Quit talking about it and do it.
The latest accusation is by far the most serious and also happened just a few months ago. Adios Cuomo.
