Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is demanding House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “tear down” the wall surrounding the U.S. Capitol, highlighting the hypocrisy of Democrats who spent the last four years decrying such boundaries as unacceptable, particularly on the U.S. border.
“You protect what you love,” Boebert said in the newly released ad outside of the U.S. Capitol. “President Trump built a big, beautiful wall because he loves America and he wanted to secure our country and protect us from drugs, illegal aliens pouring into our communities, and sex traffickers.”
“Democrats, they fought him every step of the way. And now, welcome to Fort Pelosi where Democrats decry walls from within their own, heavily guarded razor wire wall,” she said as she walked alongside the barrier.
“Democrats don’t want to protect you, because they don’t care about you. But they’ll spare no expense protecting themselves,” she continued as a brief montage played, featuring Pelosi, President Joe Biden, and twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton balking at the thought of constructing barriers on the southern border.
“It’s time to cut the crap and remember: This is the People’s House. Madam Speaker, tear down this wall,” the Colorado congresswoman declared, echoing the famous language used by former President Ronald Reagan during a speech in West Berlin in 1987:
The fence, constructed by federal officials following the January 6 Capitol protest, has remained a point of contention among lawmakers and D.C. residents. Even some Democrats expressed that the wall should not morph into a permanent fixture in the nation’s capital.
The D.C. Council and Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, a Democrat and the district’s nonvoting House member, have pushed for the fence’s removal. Some critics also point to the expense of the fence, which is costing the government $1.9 million a week, a congressional aide said.

Government waste.
Within the Democratic caucus there is real mental illness. These people are clinically paranoid and many have a scizoid personality disorder. They really fear that they are in physical danger and think people are there to assasinate them. To them tourists or visitors are scary and dangerous. If Pelosi dismantles that wall and sends th soldiers away, she will have a hard time getting enough of these pathologically frightened people to come to work and vote.
We can't spare this woman, she fights.
Boebert should introduce a bill to rename Capitol Hill as Fort Pelosi.

obama- bought a mansion in DC not long before leaving office, first thing he did was build a stone wall around it. Ok, hired stone masons to build it. Now, secret service has the street blocked off for 1000 feet in both directions. You can’t even get close enough to tale a picture of the place. I saw a video on Fox (maybe Newsmax too) of it being built when it was less than waist high, now I can’t find a picture or video anywhere. I spent 3 or 4 hours looking a few weeks ago
Pelosi - Owns 2 mansions in San Francisco, one in DC. One is a vineyard in the Zinfandel district. Yep, has a wall around it.
Hillary - Same old song and dance, lives in a mansion with a white, 8 foot concrete wall, and guard shacks manned by secret service.
Maxine Waters - Lives in a $4 million mansion well outside her district, in one of the most exclusive gated communities in LA, and has brick walls around much of it. The district she represents is one of the world’s worst ghettoes.
Pocahontas Warren - Owns a mansion ($5 mil I think) with a 7 foot iron fence topped with spikes about 4 inches long.
Mark Zuckerburg - While screeching “build bridges, not walls”, to help hillary, was fighting a lawsuit brought against him by his neighbors, because the stone wall around his Hawaiian compound blocked their view of the beach.
Cuomo and DeBlasio from New York, both live in government supplied mansions, both surrounded by walls. The one Cuomo lives in is freakin huge, picture looks like 3 story.
I’m not surprised at all that they want a fence and razor wire around the capitol. Fits their typical dual standard perfectly.
Since Trump did not build it, it stays.
