As you travel up and down the Florida coasts and stop in restaurant’s and other buildings such as hotels you will often see really old photos on the walls. Frequently, these are of beach scenes taken anywhere from 1910 to the forties. You can often recognize landmarks that are still visible today. Guess what. The tidelines are about where they were then. In some cases, in photos taken 100 years ago. So, where is all this rising water?

But the true indicator of danger is...has one, even one, celebrity or politician sold their beach front mansions? No. And, those homes continue to appreciate in value. That tells me that those very same celebrities and politicians don’t believe a word about global warming.

We can’t even get them to leave the country by electing Trump, what makes you think they’d leave the beaches after Biden stole the election?

Miami Beach is a mess. I was there two years ago for a funeral. That morning there was a light rain. I had to park four blocks away. For all four blocks I had to walk in the middle of a four-lane street because the sidewalk and most of the street was underwater.

It’s a fun town but you’d have to be insane to buy housing there.

Here's the actual data. It took me 15 seconds to look up the Miami tide gauge, and then another 15 seconds to verify that Virginia Key was a barrier island off Miami Beach where the Miami tide gage is located.

Note that the sea level has been rising at a constant rate for a century (as is typical for the rest of the world since the end of the last ice age) and is thus not accelerating due "carbon emissions". The rise is a tenth of an inch per year.

A fantastic book about the story of Florida is called A Land Remembered by Patrick Smith. It’s a fictional story set in Florida from the Civil War to around 1970. There is a specific timeline in the book about the settlement of Miami and Miami Beach.

Highly recommend it. It’s like James Michner meets Lonesome Dove.

they have ZERO science to back up anything they spew anymore from their no gender to covid and climate fear porn.

Kind of like how the last two weeks we’ve been subjected to stories pimped out in the media and social media about so called SURGING attacks on Asians in places like LA, NYC and SAN FRAN, and all suggesting its because of Trump supporters calling it China virus. Yet 99% of the perps caught are young black thugs. I’m sure THEY are attacking old Asians because Trump called Covid “china virus”. No evidence of a surge, or nobody ever shows the perps. They just push their communist narrative.

The media is the tool of all evil to spread lies nonstop and make proclamations about things with ZERO context or evidence.

EDITORIAL: Al Gore’s seawater swindle

Latest report shows oceans are not rising

By THE WASHINGTON TIMES - The Washington Times - Monday, March 28, 2011

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Eighteen years ago, Al Gore warned that Florida’s coastal regions would one day be wiped off the map. “Because of the rising sea level, due to global warming, in the next few decades … up to 60 percent of the present population of Florida may have to be relocated,” Mr. Gore wrote in his book, “Earth in the Balance.” A peer-reviewed study published last month by the Journal of Coastal Research suggests the Sunshine State might last a while.

28 years later, which is precisely Gore’s “few decades”, Florida is decidedly NOT under water. Still. Again.

It would make for a great movie if it were not overly PC’d.

I have a salt water stream and the end of my backyard... I’m some ways North of Miami and the level hasn’t changed in inch in decades.

Unless water can be higher on one side of a drinking glass than the other - this ‘rising sea story’ is pure BS.
