I back feed my gen set through the electric dryer outlet. I get 220vAC and 30 amp service.
That’s OK if you’ve got a proper 4-wire dryer outlet, and it isn’t too much hassle getting to the outlet.
I’ve got a 30A infeed on the side of the house and a 10ga SO cord with a locking plug (generator side) and receptacle (infeed side).

Dangerous, illegal, and stupid.

I hope you're turning the main breaker off so the generator power doesn't back feed downline to the linemen making repairs.
We have a separate panel for the generator that powers essential circuits and there is an outlet for the pigtail connector outside.
There is cut-off switch to separate from the main house circuit but I don’t trust it so I turn off the main feed switch coming into the house before going live with the generator.
As others have mentioned, it’s illegal.
You don’t need a transfer switch, nor a separate panel to be code compliant though. Look up “generator interlock kit”. You will need to find one that fits you’re particular electrical panel, a circuit breaker for the generator, a dedicated outlet circuit outside, a cord between that outlet and the generator. About $250 in parts to be 100% code compliant.
Basically as you open the main breaker you close the generator CB - they physically can’t operate at the same time.
And yes in some jurisdictions you could be charged with manslaughter or worse if someone was killed back feeding the dryer outlet.
I connect mine thru my 220 welder outlet.
Do NOT forget to check to see if your sump power has power!!
Following silly rules are for stupid little people. I am an EE so I know what I am doing. There was nothing unsafe about how I powered MY house.
The problem is that you, an EE, are giving "stupid little people" (nice), who aren't an EE, enough info to get themselves or someone else in a dangerous situation.
