They take responsibily and either fix the problems they created, or in this case, resign, because it's the right thing to do.
For some reason, I don't think he's smart enough to do that. He has an inflated view of his own self-importance. He will continue to obfiscate, lie and deny until it's too late and he destroys himself.
Cuomo needs to resign from office before the hole he's digging himself gets any uglier and deeper.
The sooner he resigns, the better it will be.
