Tom del Beccaro, leader of the ongoing effort to recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom, announced Wednesday evening that the campaign had reached the 1.5 million signatures required to put the matter to a vote — but will keep going.

Be careful with whoever gets that money is all I can offer.
Better keep going as long as possible because the DemocRATS will be challenging every signature. Many of those challenges are likely to be successful.
And all of a sudden signature verification became very important to democrats......
Of course this time the Dems will demand careful crosschecking of every possible signature. They’ll have no qualms about throwing out thousands that don’t meet their requirements.
It would be racist to disallow Mexican signatures and votes in this recall.
So what? They’ll just elect another Dem.
If it gets on the ballot watch the Democrats create a bunch of fake Republicans to run to dilute the vote for a new governor. Arnold jumped in the race last time and managed to block any real Republican from winning.
Many are in too big a hurry to follow instructions and especially screw up on "county".
Newsom's response: "Oh yea!!! Well, I have the machines and the counters who count the votes!!"
A corrupt SOS will toss 10-20%. They better be prepared for that.

Not sure...the winner would just get the most votes. They got Schwarzenegger before...but he was a complete novice with baggage...so anything he did..he was thwarted.
The mayor of San Diego may suffice...or some other. The state can hardly be run any more incompetently and corruptly.
Umm, yeah, it is likely that the Dems out here in Ca-Ca land will press gang some unlikely TWOT to replace TwoSomeNewsome. We all thought Ahnold would be OK, and were disappointed.
Nonetheless, he was an improvement over GreyDavis. Which is sorta like saying the measles is an “improvement” over Ebola. It still kills and hurts in the process. Meh.
As to process — that is what is important here. The process of non-congresscritters telling shills like Newsome that if you overtly act hypocritical, elitist, and like an all-round A-Hole we can get some measure of revenge.
And, in these says, even petty revenge can feel OK. I’ve loathed Newsome since he ran Frisco into the ground, so kicking him out of a high profile job is good enough for now.

Exactly. John Cox, Newsom’s last sacrificial lamb, yesterday announced his candidacy again.
Gavin Newsom’s political career needs to end.
Also this puts the only fear they recognize into the hearts of our “leaders.”
