Someone major ought to demand the lectern be wiped down and NOTING his deliberate actions to potentially infect any and all who might come in contact. Make a point of Order about it, and thus about this evil Commie reprobate from Silver Spring.

SCOTUS BLOG: The Senate's standing rules for impeachment trials make no distinction between the powers of the chief justice presiding in an impeachment and those of any other officer in the same role. The job is referred to throughout as “Presiding Officer” and its authority is the same regardless of who holds it. The rules nominally give the presiding officer considerable power, including the power to issue “orders, mandates, writs, and precepts” (Rule V), to “direct all the forms of proceedings while the Senate is sitting for the purpose of trying and impeachment” (Rule VII), and to “rule on all questions of evidence including, but not limited to, questions of relevancy, materiality, and redundancy of evidence” (Rule VII). But in every case, this apparent authority is subject to the critical limitation that the presiding officer may only act in accordance with the will of the Senate.

So, it appears the Senate can overrule any Presiding Officer with a simple majority vote. Leahy can probably get away with a lot.

Which was disproved by Sicknick’s wife, the fire extinguisher beating or the Trump supporting?

On the web, the shooter has been “identified” by his bracelet, which matches exactly that of David Bailey, one of the two Capitol Police who shot at and took out the Berniebot “home inspector” who shot Scalise and other Republican softball team practice members. Bailey and the other officer were there as personal protection for Rand Paul who was present. David Bailey.

But all this is wrapped in the “investigatory” phase being managed by the same devious accusers in this impeachment farce.

I don't have time to watch this, however I did see the video of Jan. 6, 2021 that the democRATs ran earlier.

Do President Trump's lawyers plan to run a similar (pro-Trump) video?

I think you misunderstood my comment. I was referring to President Trump as he was observed while sitting in the WH while all this was happening on Jan/6. I think you are referring to the man now speaking at the trial.

I'd say Schoen is doing OK...He is driving home some very heavy points on Constitutional law as to impeaching and convicting a "private citizen".

Yes, and he did so on video in public.. not in the well of the Senate where his speech is protected. He committed a major FEDERAL crime in public threatening specific members of another Branch of the Federal government. He definitely was inciting violence by strong implication and the words used.

Amazing. He is one meshuggener deficit laden member of the chosen:

The only person that actually died as a result of the Capitol unrest was the female AF vet. She was shot almost point blank by one of the Capitol cops. He was not charged. There was also three elderly gentlemen who died as a result of heart attacks I think it was. With a crowd that big there are always a few deaths. They are not the result of foul play.

It looked like a human shaped pamphlet. Using human figures is anathema in Islam.

They won’t have to worry about it because they will face primary attacks.

Thanks for that.
I couldn’t see any details on the booklet.
At first, I thought it was the Gideon’s NT (with Psalms)... I KNEW that made no sense.

I guess I HOPED it was the Koran - thus sticking it in members of the squad.

As I said earlier, I was guessing, not declaring.

You must be watching a different TV show to me.

For starters, Trump’s team keep contradicting each other. David Schoen and Bruce Castor are so out of step with each other, and their meanderings are so incoherent, it’s like Vicky Pollard meets Lionel Hutz.

“Yeah but no but yeah but Due Process innit and President Trump wasn’t allowed to represent himself even though he was invited to come but he decided not to come because why would he, there’s no due process in this due process and when people are fed up with their president they vote him out and due process and that’s what happened and yeah Biden won fair and square so he actually won though innit but 75 million Trump voters were disenfranchised because Trump won really. . . DUE PROCESS!”

Message to POTUS: When you engage lawyers “no win no fee”, the aim of the game is to get them to get you acquitted and then pay them, not get out of having to pay them by having them SUCK.
