I know. It is all political theater. They will vote that it is constitutional. No need for suspense. Kabuki play. They must think we are all stupid.

Democrats would not be doing this if it cost them. Blame the voter.

IF that vast throng of protesters was there to “kill all of them” they would have killed all of them. IF they were there to take the Capitol building, they would still be there today.

“So where is the the Chief Justice presiding over the trial? Why isn’t he there?”

This is even too big a farce for Roberts. Think about that for a minute.

I am not sure if there was much of an explanation given. Maybe I missed it. One news report said “The Supreme Court had no comment regarding Roberts’ absence from the second impeachment trial.”

Gawd. I’m sitting in a doctor’s office and this damn thing is on TV. I’m only here for a checkup, but I’m really going to be sick by the time he sees me...

I think I read where Roberts declined saying the CJ presides over impeachment of the president and Trump was no longer in that office. Even he thinks this proceeding is illegit.

The only comment I saw was that Roberts was not going to preside over the impeachment because Trump is no longer President.

The Chief Justice presides when the President is tried by the Senate for impeachment. The Chief Justice is not required for impeachments of anyone else.

Now they say they want to impeach him for turning our Capital into an armed fortress. Does that mean they’re going to impeach Biden?

They lost nothing.

How do you vote aye on rules for an unconstitutional process? Makes no sense logically.

Sentence first, verdict afterwards.

You retain the title of the last office you held so calling him President Trump is proper.
