Former President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign chair Paul Manafort won't face a second round of prosecution in New York state after a court affirmed the state and federal charges against him constituted double jeopardy.

They will “circle back” and charge him with something new. This isn’t over.
The point is to prosecution, it’s persecution.
This is useful knowledge because they’re talking about prosecuting President Trump for the CRIME of promoting an insurection....or something like that.
I would say that our "legal system" isn't worth using as toilet paper.
Our “legal system” is just what the lawyers say it is. I think to them it is just a game played by the three participants. Judge, prosecutor and defense.
It is their system.
If the RATS want to prosecute somebody, why don’t they prosecute their boy, Billy Barr.
After all, it’s a legal system not a Justice System.
WOW - if that holds, it will be HUGE. Numerous people have been sent to jail due to an IDIOTIC Supreme Court ruling that claimed being prosecuted, twice, for the same crime (like a cop beating down a felon) is ok, since they were different entities doing the prosecution.
...but I doubt it holds.

I was surprised to read that Manafort was serving time at home due to Corona. At first, he was in solitary, under the harshest conditions, really not called for, IMHO.
