If you look at the original attack on Trump -first against Flynn- the attack on Flynn wasn’t so much that he was in communication with the Russian ambassador but what he was in communication with him for. The Obama-Kerry team was alarmed that Flynn was working to head off Powers’ and Kerry’s anti-Israel UN resolution in Dec 2016. Kerry even made a trip to New Zealand [under the cover of visiting Antarctica] to try to manipulate the UN vote so the US could abandon Israel by abstaining and thus the Obama admin could please palestinians in its base and the Iran lobby.
