Symptoms of UK COVID-19 strain are different than original virus: study

People with the highly contagious UK strain of COVID-19 are less likely to report sky-high fevers than those with the original illness, according to a study released Wednesday.

But patients with the newer virus variant report suffering from a sore throat, aching muscles and fatigue more often, according to the survey, released by Britain’s Office for National Statistics.

Symptoms of the new strain differ from the three main ones associated with the original COVID-19 virus — fever, continuous cough and loss of smell or taste, the UK Sun reported, citing the survey and health officials.

Just going to the UK— for most people, produces ALL of those
“new” symptoms.

What in the world are you smoking? You’ve obviously never been to London, nor the Arctic Circle. London’s latitude is about 51N, while the Arctic Circle starts much higher, about 66N.

The vaccines already out work for all known variants of COVID-19. So far, the South African variant is the only one shown to have any impact on immunity and that impact is not significant enough to create any issues with either the vaccines or those who have immunity from previous infection.
