Under normal circumstances, maybe. But this was the Capitol. They’re going to throw the book at them or Congress will want to know the reason why.
My bet is on the first description.

Sedition is a serious felony punishable by fines and up to 20 years in prison and it refers to the act of inciting revolt or violence against a lawful authority with the goal of destroying or overthrowing it.
Just walking around with a flag being considered inciting is a stretch. But there was no effort to overthrow or destroy anything. Breaking and entering is a possibility. But if there was no resistance from LE was it a crime or was the LE establishing precedent since no effort to decline them was made and the LE was with them. And when the shot was fired that killed the woman (ultimately) and as soon as the woman was down and being assisted, the LE right next to her was displayed on video aiming her weapon in the direction of the shooter and not to crowd.
A lot of possibilities. Many didn’t go public.

They have video of the son removing glass from the broken window and illegally entering. I didn’t see the father in that video but I suspect that he gained entry the same way. If he had entered through the doorway that was opened by the cops I would say leave him alone.
I agree. Armed with cell phones does not make one guilty of sedition. However, all of us on FR are probably guilty of sedition according to the corporate fascist taking over this country. We are armed with a keyboard.

Yes we are. And we can aim it at whoever we want because at this point it isn’t considered an assault weapon. (Day ain’t over) I don’t use any of those small, cry on the shoulder, “boards” to profess my life’s dramas. They lie and treat people like crap using a portion of the first amendment to cover their criminality.
What would happen if half of the people in the country, 74 million, stopped using facebook, twitter, instagram......all those little information one lane superhighways that won’t allow people to say what they want when it is within the law and nothing more than their opinion?
They at some point will lose their sponsors and if they want to continue to stay on the air, they will have to start charging for their services. When they lose a good portion of the “left”overs, they will have to throw the switch. And they will find what the free market is all about....supply and demand. Last one out turn off the light.
And the funny thing is that those “boards” are alive and telling people to FO because the government can’t get them under restrictions which the left has been trying to do for thirty years to cut off conservative information passing. Wouldn’t be a laugh if they made it and ended up cutting off all information passing (along with every other source like TV, radio, postal...)? If they do something one way, we’re talking goose/gander as they are violating the equal protect clause in the 14th amendment. And wouldn’t it seem completely obvious if they tried to go one way like the “boards” are doing right now? Can that be considered creating a monopoly?
The people right now don’t understand the power they have. It’s called the pocketbook. They can shut down or promote anything they want. And Uncle Sugar can’t do a thing about it. Their only retort is to act in a socialist/marxist way, to take over everything. That would compromise the Constitution. And I can promise you, I worked for the feds for 32 years and these people can screw up a wet dream. They’ll have to compromise or fall on their sword. And that’s all true conservatives want, equal treatment and within the law that is decided by the people. It’s got a name...democracy.

And this group is tuned in at Georgetown University and has their own monument on campus. That war has never ended. Americans are strong willed and resilient, right or wrong.
