Rep. Ted Budd (NC) Introduces 'Save Our Servers' Act (To slap the commies in the face)

Washington, D.C. -- Today, Rep. Ted Budd introduced the Save Our Servers Act.

The bill withholds certain federal funds from states and localities who shut down indoor or outdoor dining at restaurants. These jurisdictions can only have the federal funds restored when they rescind all shutdown orders. Rep. Budd released the following statement:

“Given the fact that dining at restaurants accounts for less than 2 percent of COVID-19 infections, the restaurant restrictions we see in cities across our country are completely arbitrary and devastating to the lives of thousands of servers and food service workers. It’s time that we tell these oppressive governors and mayors to reverse course, allow these restaurants to safely operate, and help servers make a living again.”

I'm proud of My U.S. House Representative (NC) He voted NO on the pork shaft bill and He has already said that He will Oppose on the 6th. Too bad I have 2 useless Senaturds. I'm going to ask Ted Budd to run for a Senate Seat when they are up next time.

A few years ago I was having problems with a Disability Issue. I had contacted Ted Budd’s office and talked to several of the Staff and they were working on the problem. One Morning I was awake and called the Local NC office at like 06:30 or so, fully expecting to leave a message on the VM or Machine. After 3 rings the phone was picked up and I hear: “Good Morning Ted Budd speaking, how can I help You ?” After getting over the initial shock that 1) He was there before any Staff and 2)that He answered the call Himself !!! I introduced Myself and said I was calling about this problem and He replies “Yes Sir, I’m familiar with Your situation and here is where We stand” and He proceeded to update Me on it. So in addition to 1 & 2 above was 3) He knew My name AND what the current status was on My Issue !!!

He sounds like a good guy, but if he thinks a Law that is ONLY 2 Pages and doesn’t spend a Minimum of $500 Million Dollars has any chance being brought up in CONgress, I have to question his logic and reasoning capabilities.

Note to every citizen locked down: State constitutions need to be amended to state that lickdowns exceeding a short, defined period need to be put to a popular vote to be renewed for the same short, defined period.

No vote to authorize renewal, no new lockdown.

Take the uniparty legislatures the hell out of it.

What we should do is state that every city/State that issues a lockdown is 100% responsible for every single cost/lost revenue for every business/person that is affected. Clear eminent domain issue.

You’ll see these lockdowns lifted overnight, if not sooner!

I too had the same thought. I think We need to get that going. I will suggest that be done as well.

The Food Service Biz is a fair portion of the Economy. Servers rely on Tips to make their Money because most of the time they are being paid next to nothing.

And face it most of the Country eat out, except the Boomers who tend to Cook at home. We don’t eat outside of the House much as My Wife and I can Cook better than most Restaurants anyway.
