“There’s more of a sense of freedom down there,” Paul Teutul Sr. said on a Zoom call from the current Orange County Chopper headquarters in New York state as ice pounded the roof above him. WKRG.com’s Biker Dad Blog broke the news last week that the reality show stars are moving their operations down south. Monday we got a chance to speak with Sr. and Jane Kay of Orange County Choppers about the big move.

Yes! The pressure is heavy on DeSantis, and there are a bunch of lefty (including RINO) mayors who are trying to impose their own diktats which he keeps shooting down, but we’re still a lot freer here than anywhere else!
A lot of New Yorkers are fleeing to Florida, but we need more like this guy, fleeing for freedom and not to bring crummy Dem politics with him.
Long overdue to relocate down south for warmer motorcycle weather.
He mentioned how much longer the riding season in Florida. But I think the main reason is the freedom and I think he alluded to the restrictions during this pandemic. I’m not even sure he rides that much.
“Yes! The pressure is heavy on DeSantis, “
From where?
Yankee go home!
We dont want your rustbelt infected butts down here!
No more snowbacks!
I think Teutel is the real deal Trump supporting conservative. Don’t you need all those you can get down there?
[Switch Cali to NY]
Dennis Prager is a conservative talk radio host for more than 30 years.
Yes, he’s a conservative Jewish guy.
In the 1970s, as a “student,” he traveled to the USSR to meet [Jewish] dissidents, and bring back messages. IOW, he had his own take on the cold war, first hand, not LARPing, when the Gulags and “Psychiatric Institutes” were running full blast.
In that context, please read his last “Normie Town Hall” column.
And especially, read the comments, all of them.
It is Rebels and Yanks taunting each other in 1860.
We all know what followed. 2021 could be worse than 1861.
“The Sovietization of California” by Dennis Prager [end]
The last time I felt I was leaving a free society and entering an unfree one was when I visited the communist countries of Eastern Europe. As a graduate student majoring in communism, during the Cold War, I would travel through the countries known as Soviet satellites: Poland, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. In the middle of my trips, I would stop in Austria to breathe free air.
Never did I imagine I would ever experience anything analogous in America, the Land of the Free, the land of the Statue of Liberty and of the Liberty Bell. But I did yesterday, when leaving Florida and returning to California.
There is no question that America is becoming, if it hasn’t already become, two countries: one that values liberty, from small businesses being allowed to operate to people being allowed to say what they believe, and one that has contempt for liberty, from eating in restaurants to free speech.
I am asked almost daily by friends around the country and by callers to my national radio show whether I intend to stay in California. Were it not for all the close friends who live here and the synagogue I and a few friends founded, the answer would be no. But at a given point, I am sure that I will leave this Soviet satellite for a free state. The bigger and far more important question is: How long will the Soviet states of America and the free states of America remain the United States of America?
Please don’t miss the comments. 1860 > 1861 ?? = ?? 2020 > 2021

Thanks. I have been listening to Dennis Prager for over 20 years. Few have such wisdom.
You are being an ass.
Orange County, NY was a fairly conservative area. For NY, years ago the housing prices and property taxes were reasonable. Paul Sr definitely is making the right move. There’s rumors that he, and the owners of Lead Foot City here in Hernando County, where we have local car shows and swap meets, and plans are in the works to build a small drag are entering into some kind of joint venture.
Sr is prob OK, but who knows with all the relatives, we still RED and want to keep it that way
Be sure to vote the same way you did in New Yoik.
Teach the rubes a thing or two.
I wonder what took him so long!
The media. He’s being depicted in the liberal press...even here in Florida...as a homicidal maniac who is letting all of Florida die.
THe reality is that the level of “cases”...that is, positive tests, not people lying all over the floors of the hospitals...is lower than the big lockdown states such as CA and NY. Death rate is much lower. And all of this is true even though Florida has a larger population than either of the other states.
But the press is after him, he’s hated by the Dems and the RINOs, including the RINO mayors, such as the mayor of Jacksonville, who keep trying to impose their own orders and kill their cites.
Frankly, he doesn’t give a damn. He’s doing the right thing for his state, businesses are flocking here, restaurants are reviving and doing just fine, our hospitals are not overwhelmed and our big medical industry is reviving, etc.
I think things are going to get really hard once Biden gets in, which I’m afraid he will, but I think DeSantis is tough enough and has enough support to get through it.
Sounds like he had big plans. Restaurant, shop, store, etc. Good for them and the local area.
I have always liked Dennis Prager, he tells it like it is.
“The media. He’s being depicted in the liberal press...even here in Florida...as a homicidal maniac who is letting all of Florida die.”
I am in Florida. Tampa area. I don’t see that.
My family had been in Orange County for over two hundred years. The only one left is my Brother who is planning to move his family out in the next few years..
More than likely selling out of New York due to taxes and expenses. No state tax and low sales tax. Property taxes depending on where you live here are manageable. (south Florida not included)
The lifestyle is easy here as long as you keep it simple. Beach, Fishing, boating, outdoor activities and yes, riding bikes of all kinds are a way of life.
We are a great state, but I’m partial as I’ve lived here all my life and don’t want it screwed up!
