> Another board member, Bill Gates, said he was concerned about the Republican-controlled legislature’s moves.
“And let’s be clear what they’re looking for – as a conservative I feel strongly about ***individual private information … of voters***, and that information has been requested in these subpoenas,” Gates explained. “I’m going to fight to protect that information before we turn it over.”
***individual private information … of voters*** ???
What???
This hearing was a (bad) joke - they talk a good game but their motives are clear ... they want to keep the secrets hidden; thus they want an “audit” someday, sometime, maybe after litigation (they then initiate) has long passed. The items subpoenaed are all critical to conducting an actual + comprehensive audit which they say they want but are not willing to effect.
Yeah, like are they keeping info that could identify an individual ballot? Is that their privacy concern?
***individual private information … of voters*** ???
Voter registrations with addresses and record of elections in which they voted are public record in most places.
