A federal judge ruled Friday that the head of the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), which oversees Voice of America (VOA) and other networks, unconstitutionally interfered with the news service when he went after its journalists for alleged bias against President Trump, NPR reports.
Five suspended officials from the USAGM sued CEO Michael Pack in early October, accusing him of violating the "firewall" that protects international broadcasters from political interference.
The officials alleged that Pack and others investigated and punished journalists for negative stories about the president, as well as stories about now President-elect Joe Biden and the racial justice protests across the U.S....

Take it to a higher court. The manager was fighting against bias, not for it.

How right you are! “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely” is so true.
I worked for ATT when they were the monopoly phone company many years ago. I then went over to the dark side and competed against them. Seeing how they worked the system and pulled every power lever they could muster, would blow your mind — until the judge finally broke them up (hello Google, FB & Microsoft).
And now they are at it all over again.
Said agency is a direct report TO-— the President of the United States who had every reason to tell them to stop trashing their boss. Judge is wrong, and this is not some free standing ‘agency’... it is our outreach against the Communists and world globalist Marxism.
Just shut down VOA and solve the problem from here forward. With today’s Internet, the voice of America is really of no value, definitely not worth taxpayer money. Same with NPR for that matter and PBS
Simple solution: Fire all the “international broadcasters” and just re-broadcast Rush Limbaugh - all the U.S. news that the world needs.

Yup. And I suspect it interests don’t very much concern what’s best for us as a healthy, independent nation.
What firewall? If it’s an executive agency, it’s under Presidential control. If it’s not, it’s unconstitutional.
I agree. VOA is supposed to be a cheer-leader for America, not 101 reasons to hate on America.
perhaps this explains how the VOA has been able to stay rogue wrt the USA for the last 4 years... :(
