It knows that if you go into a restaurant or walk by the people eating outdoors in a 25 knot wind, it will leap into your system and infect you like white on rice.
However, once you are seated, you may remove your mask and you are perfectly safe. Same with going to the beach. You must wear a mask walking around, but if you lay down on the sand, you are quite safe. The virus understands this.
Just as it knows not to infect Leftists. Even viruses know that would be biting the hand that feeds you.
