(WBUR)For the next two weekends in October, (Salem MA) mayor Driscoll says all city and private garages and lots will close to traffic at 2 p.m. Friday and at noon on Saturday and Sunday, and for the next weekend. Only downtown residents and those with reserved parking spaces can enter.Cars will be ticketed and towed on residential streets if they don't have a valid residential parking tag, she says. For the weekends, the commuter rail trains won't stop at Salem. The city is also asking downtown businesses to close by 8 p.m. People are still coming up for the weekend, says Driscoll, with hotel or dinner reservations. She's encouraging people *not* to make spontaneous plans to visit.
How are we doing with that two weeks to stop the spread deal?

My wife and I got to spend a Halloween in Salem back in the early 90’s. It was a blast. Like a Renfest with witches.
If witches can gather to cast spells that curse President Trump, why can’t they gather and cast spells to kill the virus? Asking for a friend.

Latest is that in Salem fines for littering, public drinking and vandalism
have tripled and no through traffic will be allowed on (most?) city streets the
next 2 weekends.
