My most resent Ex decided the best way to end our marriage was to break the things that I had given her, and when I physically stopped her to call the police. Then, I would be locked up and she would have the house.
So, when she picked up and threw the bicycle I had bought her on the pavement a couple of times, I tried to prevent it... and I touched her shoulders.
The cops came, she tried over and over to convince them to arrest me. She knew the law! She was an attorney! (believe it or not)
After listening to her go on and on for 20 minutes and all of us trying to calm her down, no one was more surprised than her when they put the cuffs on her.
She just couldn’t seem to understand why they weren’t arresting me too. If she’d shown any remorse or just apologized to me, I might have bailed her out.
I didn’t.
