Think about it: Their malfeasance and crimes are probably much more heinous than Joe's however, the nation could not stomach the trial and triple play conviction (at worse but won't happen, that's not how the game is played in DC) of a former President and his VP, the SoS, former FLOTUS & the head of a Presidential ticket.
Therefore they take advantage of Hunter's addictions and stupidity, tie them to his father, which of course he is guilty of and he goes down, not knowing how it hit him because he's addled. And Kamala is just collateral damage in the better interest of the party and long game, she'll be taken care of.
No way is there a follow up on the other two, a truce is called (with certain agreements) and PDJT has a second term with just your normal political give and take.
