“they could not produce the gun because it had been stolen from their home” and consequentially could not be used to determine it was the gun that actualy killed Joeseph Rosenbaum.

So he has a wife AND a girlfriend? Did I read the article wrong or is it another case of bad editing?

“fired off a ‘warning shot’ into the air”

Legally there is no such thing as a "warning shot", any more than Joe Biden's "shoot to wound". Gun was stolen, I'm sure that has nothing to do with the possibility that any recovered bullets, if there are any from , don't match Kyle's rifle.

From another thread, right groin which fractured his pelvis, a gunshot wound to the back which perforated his right lung and liver, a gunshot wound to the left hand, a superficial gunshot wound to his lateral left thigh, and a graze gunshot wound That's five wounds. The fatal one entering his back My recollection of the video Kyle didn't fire 5 times, and was facing his attacker.

This is humorous.

After Ziminski and his wife “both admitted”

conditions barring him from having any weapons or discussing the case with his girlfriend, records show.

Guess he can discuss it with his wife.

Exactly. Gunfire is just an auditory reminder that a bullet may’ve ALREADY whizzed by you...or worse...ALREADY struck you.

Yeah... maybe this guy should have attended a firearm safety class. Random shots in the air are not bueno.

Worse, chasing someone with a firearm and pulling the trigger can (and should) result in return defensive fire.

An example of why warning shots are a bad idea.
Not everyone may understand that it is a warning, instead perceiving it as a lethal attack.
I don’t much care why Ziminski fired the “warning” nor whether it really was a “warning”. Rittenhouse was being attacked, and part of the mob escalated to lethal force for no apparent reason - prompting & justifying Kyle to likewise transition to lethal force against the closest member of the now-lethal mob.
And now Ziminski must explain, in court, his unlawful use of deadly force during a riot.

Having both, he may be looking forward to incarceration as a means of protecting him from them.

What you wanna bet that the 5 wounds, or at least one of them (in back?), were from a certain caliber handgun, that cannot be found because it was ‘stolen’ (how convenient), and not a rifle?.........................

Can’t. Though I’m going from memory, but I recall them face to face. I’m thinking that’s why the handgun was “stolen”. Hope he reported it within the required 24 hours or he’s got another charge. Hope the bullet was recovered so at least they can rule out, or in I suppose, Kyle’s rifle.

Somewhat related though not criminal, I recall the head wound being the only one treated. Probably because of the profuse bleeding from a graze. While he bled out from an abdominal wound.

They have already said he, Kyle, won’t be charged, but not why.

I suspect they have discovered that the dead guy was killed by friendly fire.....i.e. ‘warning shots’..................

Just to be clear: Rittenhouse won’t be charged in Illinois. He is charged with “first degree homicide” in Wisconsin.

Not charged in IL, because the rifle was bought and stored in WI. He still faces charges in WI, the only thing pending in IL is extradition. You might want to look at this thread. It has more information than most articles, and virtually all of it from law enforcement, prosecutors and the coroner.
