LOST AND FOUND SONGS
"I FOUND a Million Dollar Baby (In a Five and Ten Cent Store)"
This song was published in 1931 and was introduced on Broadway in the musical "Billy Rose's Crazy Quilt" in the same year. The song was sung by the great Broadway star of the day, Fanny Brice.
Many versions of the song were recorded in 1931....the most popular rendition sales-wise was by Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians. The second most popular recording was by a 28 year-old Bing Crosby.
I'm an oldie-goldie song lover ! When I was a young little girl, I laid on my elbows and tummy on the front room floor doing homework at night and listening to the programs of the great stars of the day on our RCA upright radio.....Bing Crosby, Fred Waring, Bob Hope, Fred Allen, Fibber McGee and Molly, Amos and Andy.....those were the days, my friend.

A very pleasant good Friday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Fatima for this morning's thread.
In the category of "lost and found" songs three songs come to mind in my brain which sometimes doesn't always work when I need it too:
Air Supply, "Lost In Love"
Harold Melvin, "The Love I Lost"
and
Robin Thicke, "Lost Without You"
How's everyone doing this morning?

As long as we are taking about Patti Page, try this one on for size. I Went to Your Wedding.
Your mother was crying, your father was crying, and I was crying too. The tear drops were falling, because we were LOSING you.
