A "Make America Great Again" flag supporting President Donald Trump was seen flying outside the Long Beach Police Department headquarters this weekend.
Long Beach police said the flag was not authorized and are trying to figure out who put it up. The department said it found out about the incident Sunday morning.
It is unclear how long the "Make America Great Again" flag had been up. The flag caused some outrage on social media.
Long Beach police tweeted out a grainy video of what they say shows someone crossing the street and entering their lot, which is under construction, to change the flag.
LBPD said the flagpole area is only accessible from a "small, secured parking lot which houses a construction trailer." It added that the space is restricted to mainly construction workers due to ongoing construction of a parking lot.

Cause stopping riots and other crime is too much to ask...
Of course they opened a criminal investigation. What would be the charge? Illegal display of common sense?

What else are they supposed to do? Arrest rioters and looters instead?
Since the end of the Cold War, Long Beach has gone from middle of the road politically to decidedly leftist. End of the Cold War meant that many defense related businesses and facilities closed or moved to other areas of the country.
They’re not going to investigate anything.
They said that to kill the story and quiet the media.

I knew a guy in college who had a habit of stealing flags. He once stole the police department flag and ran a bra and panties back up.
It was there at least two weeks. I saw it.

George Deukemeijian and Dan Lungren represented parts of Long Beach a long time ago...
Deukemeijian served in State Senate before he eventually became the governor of CA...
Lungren did serve in US House before he eventually became the attorney general of CA...
Long Beach is not the same as when those guys were in office...
East Long Beach is OK...I am talking about the area around CSULB...
North Long Beach is not good...Near Compton...
But if a rainbow fag or blm flag or antifa flag appeared, the cops would do nothing.

Cute. As I recall he finally got caught and the feds let him swing in the wind himself for a while before they decided he was just an idiot and not to charge him.
