I propose 2 simple, fair rules for future debates:
(1) GOP primary debates should be moderated by people who actually vote in a GOP primary. (Not Dem journalists who want GOP to lose.)

We should stop pretending obvious bias doesn’t exist. Instead, equalize & counter-balance it.
A debate moderated by, say Mark Levin & Chris Hayes would be better than fake impartiality.
And the third debate is to be moderated by this woman who works for NBC, I forget her name. Why is Trump agreeing to this? At the very least have 2 moderators with one who is conservative, get Mark Levin.

I have only limited sympathy for Trump and the GOP in this matter.
As I noted in another thread, this happens every four years. The Commission on Presidential Debates sets up the debates. They always pick leftist moderators. And the GOP always goes along with it.
The GOP should have insisted on this YEARS ago: In a presidential debate each candidate gets to pick two panelists. And have them agree on a neutral moderator, whose only job is to keep time. Nothing could be fairer.
The weak Republicans ALWAYS get screwed on the debate moderators. They are complete idiots for agreeing to this. Why don’t the Dems EVER have to agree to a more conservative moderator.
Trump. should just refuse. It would less damage than this hit Job would be.

Not sure why the GOP continues to cooperate with this group every four years but - you can be damn sure PDJT will use this to his advantage and bring this factoid up a number of times during the debate.
No Mr. Cruz, you eff'n RINO loser. They should not be moderated by the GOP, but by conservatives, in an very unbalanced manner. Make that your starting point in your negotiations, then you might get something decent. I am so sick of loser Republicans that have no clue how to win.
I am guessing because the moderators are so biased that it actually illustrates the open hostility that he has been facing his entire term in office. It all depends on how perceptive independents are when watching the debates. President Trump seems to have more faith in the ability of the public to see through leftist media lies.
With all of the howling on the Democrat side wanting Biden not to participate in any more debates even with the biased moderators... it seems like their movers and shakers are worried about this as well. They also know that Biden is having cognitive difficulties and one major slip up and it will be all over. A biased moderator will not be able to help with that.

And have each candidate in a remote, sound proof, Faraday cage box. That way there could be no electronic cheating. There should be 4 questions; two that are asked of each candidate for which they can have a practiced answer and two from the opposition which are unknown to the candidates AND moderator. Plus a five minute opening statement and closing argument from each candidate.
No rebuttal. No interruptions. Each answer is given three minutes and at the end of that time, the microphone is shut off.
Trump should without question refuse another debate until impartiality is guaranteed, I almost smashed my TV when that piece of rat sh— Wallace demanded Trump renounce white supremacy and then asshat Biden brings up the Proud boys who have absolutely NOTHING to do with white supremacy! How about Biden renounce Antifa “Oh they don’t exist” or renounce the communism being pushed by member of his party? Why didn’t Wallace ask why that dimwit AOC was reading the 1936 Constitution of the Soviet Union or the “Stalin constitution” at the DNC? “Right to work, rest and leisure” yes until we mass murder the population.

Having questions coming directly from the opposition - that’s actually a very good idea!
Unless the debate format is fair, then gee whiz, don’t bother.
Each candidate should be able to select a moderator. Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh... The left would scream like school girls.
Otherwise, let’s just forget it. It’s really not necessary in today’s hyper climate of endless political coverage, hell even the professional sports teams talk more about politics than sports.
At the beginning of the debate, Trump should announce, in the interest of full disclosure, the nature of internships with prominent Democrats. Most people see the unfair treatment. Trump just needs to call it out and shine a light on it. The Rats, the Swamp and the Media are a hyper-incestuous lot and trump must be digging into their income.
