MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A federal appeals court on Sunday temporarily halted a six-day extension for counting absentee ballots in Wisconsin’s presidential election, a momentary victory for Republicans and President Donald Trump in the key presidential battleground state.

As it stands, ballots will now be due by 8 p.m. on Election Day. A lower court judge had sided with Democrats and their allies to extend the deadline until Nov. 9. Democrats sought more time as a way to help deal with an expected historic high number of absentee ballots.

A few weeks ago I posted the make up of some of the courts governing swing states. This is why.

This particular federal court is 2 - Dem, and 9 - GOP

I suspect every appeals circuit is going to come up with a different ruling. SCOTUS will have to step in to avoid the hodgepodge of rules and deadlines.

If that is the case, ACB needs to be confirmed by the Senate this week or next. Everyone knows the outcome of the confirmation vote already. She has been confirmed previously. McConnell needs to drop the drama and get on with it.

Excellent point. We only focus on the Rat traitor governors, Obama-era corrupt judges, Soros-paid SOS’s and a volatile SC. Here’s where the other 200+ Trump judges hopefully bring their A game.

When the election law said ballots are due by 8 pm the day of the election, and the lower court extended the date by a week, that is not interpreting the law, it’s rewriting the law.

Handed to love how they ALWAYS take leftists noble explanations of their crusades at face value. They never write "In a move Dems claim will help with.....but R's claim so open the door to election fraud...."

I can see how leftists get to these contortions of law writing - even when making a justified “fix”, it is always pushing the envelope for future un-justified “fixes”.

Earlier this year in MA, due to extreme difficulty for R’s to collect signatures, R’s went to court because the legislature would not act, and sued for ballot access. The Supremes here quickly ruled that half the statute for signatures would now suffice for candidates for this Covid year.

Note: ‘Rat legislature would not act; R’s sued; R’s won in court.

And, now fast forward to the atmosphere now where it seems almost a natural extension for courts to extend ballot deadlines.

Courts are feeling their Oats!

Oh yeah, Todd, that’s why the “democrats sought more time”

because of the volume...yeah, that’s the ticket.

Courts should stay away from election rules. The Constitution gives State legislatures ALONE dominion over election time, place, and manner. Courts have no authority to intervene.

I have a very streamlined thought process: If the left wants to change something relating to elections, it is bad. It is to rejected out of hand.

I used to be involved in some Six Sigma work to make flawed workflows more efficient, and often it wasn't any one big thing you could do, it was identifying and fixing a host of small issues. Think of a strip of metal that is bent in a bunch of different directions, and you straighten this area here...then that one, and soon, a lot of smaller changes make a big impact.

With the Left, they want to gain the electoral advantage the same way. They know they cannot do it with their policies because there is no mandate for their policies. Who wants to pay higher taxes? That kind of thing. So they attack the electoral process on all fronts.

So they try to do it via changing the electoral process. Just look at everything they propose or reject:

They are attacking this on many fronts, and I believe they are succeeding. Things like The Secretary of State Project, ballot harvesting and ranked voting seem pretty innocuous, but they will eventually have large impacts.

We need to fight these traitors tooth and nail.

Screw the deliberations.... just push her through. That’s what’s best and what’s needed for the Country, which is nearing a precipice right now.

Great to bring SixSigma into what ‘Rats do. I’m not thinking that ‘Rats certified in SixSigma are applying its principles... however it works out that way just the same.

I recall there are dozens of main approaches to the discipline, most of which I do not recall. In any event, there is probably
one that fits the ‘Rat paradigm the best.

Something like the opposite of root-cause (ie, one cause), identify all the possible causes, assign weights according to cost of implementation times effectiveness of implementation, and whack off the high scorers.

Really up to Graham to get it out of committee.

His shameless asking for money on every show indicates he is not doing well with his re-election. He is full of bluster and is only now getting Comey, et.al, in front of his Committee. Will be a nothingburger. They will all feign ignorance or confidentiality and give his Committee squat.

Also, he will milk the Committee hearing on ACB for all it is worth - simply for re-election. He is not going to let them go right to the floor and lose his opportunity.

We need GOP Senators, but this guy never, never delivers!

What a convenient scam the dems have going.

Wait until they know the Nov 3rd Repub voting totals, then they have x amount of days to come up with enough votes to win.

Kinda like playing poker with someone who wants YOU to show your cards FIRST so they know what they need for a “winning hand”.

NOTHING received past Nov 3rd should be able to qualify as a legal vote.
