I did a bit more research - I guess there are all sorts of ways to have a tie. There were lots of articles from 2016 about it!
Seems when the media/liberals are worried about their candidate not winning, they pull out the “what happens in a tie?” idea.
Realistic ways to a tie, or just mathematically possible?
It being a “tie” isn’t the issue that would trigger the House vote in of itself - it is if neither candidate gets at the very least 270 Electoral votes.
