Absolutely they should abstain. There’s a substantial difference between being a “conscientious objector” in a war and being one who takes up arms with the enemy and opens fire on your side.
If these female RINOs abstain, that leaves Romney as the wildcard. Let’s be pessimistic and assume that his hatred for Trump is greater than his love for country (not an unrealistic assumption)... that makes the confirmation a 50-50 split since Republicans control the senate 53-47.
This leaves Mike Pence as the tie breaker.

They shouldn’t abstain from the vote, they should LEAVE the chamber. Without them, the voting pool is 98, so the majority needed drops by a vote and 50 wins without the need for Pence.
