By now, it's the worst kept secret in the world that Joe Biden is having cognitive difficulties. He's tethered to a teleprompter, is fed only pre-approved questions, and speaks in short increments to friendly audiences. Rumors are floating about that his dementia is quite advanced. Rush Limbaugh came up with a theory that suggests that those rumors are correct.
On Sunday, Thomas Lifson reprinted a post that's been circulating on the internet. It purports to come from a former Biden staffer who quit the campaign and cannot keep quiet about Biden's mental incompetence. Briefly, it says Biden has advanced dementia and that the medicine he takes for it causes incontinence. Although the post accurately describes Biden's behavior and his brief appearances, an anonymous author means that it has dubious utility.
Rush Limbaugh, however, has noticed another piece in the puzzle, and this one yields to empirical evidence rather than firsthand knowledge. This is the fact that, other than the long-ago Democrat debates and his acceptance speech (which may have been live, rather than prerecorded), Biden is never seen at night. In that regard, he is the "un-vampire."
Indeed, most of Biden's appearances are early in the day. He may do this because he tires easily and, by afternoon, is running on empty. Rush, though, posits that Biden may be suffering from sundowning, something strongly associated with dementia in the elderly, especially with Alzheimer's. Sundowning is so named because it consistently appears as the sun is setting.
I've seen this firsthand with both my parents, neither of whom had Alzheimer's but both of whom sundowned badly as they developed age-related dementia. What I learned was that, for the people sundowning, the illusions are real. These are not nightmares from which they can awaken.

And the Ds are getting away with it because the rank and file Rs are part of the problem. Had they been a true alternative party, and pushed back on Clinton/Obama, we wouldn’t be on the brink.

The GOP members of Congress could be demanding Biden’s health records. They could be demanding an evaluation of both presidential and both vice presidential candidates by a panel of independent physicians. There are so many things they could be doing but don’t.
He was on yesterday and he sounded pretty robust. Every day is a blessing.

The president needs to call them out on this. He doesn’t even have to blame Old Joe. He can ask the campaign why they never have VP Biden making evening appearances? Flush him out. If he doesn’t come out, it’s another curious thing for voters to ponder.

Sundowning is also frequently characterized by sudden bursts of inordinate rage. Slowjoe seems a likely candidate for that particular manifestation.

Either this campaign is Joe’s dying wish, or Joe is suffering elder abuse at the hands of his party, the media and his wife.

No, you mean the RINOs are part of the problem. They want a world in which they have everything they have without Trump. That world won't exist ever again.
The times for the debates are in the evenings, so if held live and this is true, they should be pretty interesting.
There still seems to be a question of if they will be live or by video; the Commission will only say they will follow CDC guidelines. If Biden can give live campaign speeches, then he should be required to debate live. And the debates should be broadcast live.
There is a handful of decent Rs, the rest are nothing more than elected lobbyists, fakes and frauds. Once DJT is out of office their party will collapse, and justifiably so.
Joe will not make it through the debates. They need a scapegoat before hand. Wonder what that might be?
