Kamala Harris was seen leaving an appearance in Miami where she was guarded by a Secret Service officer armed with an assault weapon - the same type of gun she vowed to ban.
In the photos exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, the VP hopeful is seen leaving Florida Memorial University on Thursday, ironically being protected by the same assault rifle that she promised to ban within the first 100 days of her term.
It's worth noting, however, that Secret Service agents are trained and equipped to handle such a weapon.

Too many people in Miami have experienced commie hellholes or know someone who has... I’m amazed she would go there. Much easier to fool folks in the Orlando area.

I’m laughing, that’s funny. But it’s also a good point.
I’ve read a book or two by those guys, most of them have long military or police backgrounds, college degrees, and a couple of years of training at a facility in Virginia not far from Langley where they have a mock city set up. I’d have to look it up again but I think it’s a year long course, just for the uniformed division, and longer for the “suits” who actually protect the president and other politicians. They also have regular refresher courses, and marksmanship qualifications required at least once a year, target practice required on a regular basis. Including automatic weapons. The secret service car that followed JFK in the Dallas motorcade carried a fully automatic rifle in the floorboard.
The mock city is used for practice runs on any scenario they think might come up where they may find themselves under attack. Everything but live bullets. The city has everything you would find in any city. Apartments, stores, police station, barber shops, restaurants, bars, fast food joints you name it, exactly like any city in the US. But it’s mostly just fronts, not actual working businesses.
Their training is more extensive than police or FBI.

Two things:
1) That Harris is a lying, hypocritical whore - this is not news, just further confirmation.
2) WRT this statement: “It’s worth noting, however, that Secret Service agents are trained and equipped to handle such a weapon.” Typical for the Brits - in general, they have no understanding of firearms. Trained? Anyone can get “trained,” with your degree of expertise depending upon how good your initial instruction was, your natural abilities and how much you practice. Being part of the Secret Service and getting some training in on an AR (or, more likely in this case, an M4 or M16) isn’t some magic talisman. The agents are quite human and thus quite fallible. I would venture to say that there are many tens of thousands of people in this country with similar or better skills with an AR-type rifle as this agent has (not to diss him, but again, he’s just human). As for “equipped” - OK, the guy has two arms, two hands with 5 fingers each, two legs and two eyes. So he’s “equipped to handle such a weapon.”
