The fact is US began as a racist country with practice of slavery of the negro race. There were no white slaves. It is historical fact and kudos to the republican president Lincoln to lead a civil war to end slavery.

"There were no white slaves."The Irish were referred to as "indentured servants", so yes, that's a true statement, there were no white slaves.

Actually there were quite a few Irish slaves. Unfortunately they are white and do not fit into the Communist narratives.
History has a way of being rewritten, and not studied.

The fact is US began as a racist country with practice of slavery of the negro race. There were no white slaves. Where in the world, in 1619, was slavery not practiced?
There were, in 1619, white people in the same legal status as blacks in the territory which would later become the United States. Slavery of blacks v. other races was not legally ensconced in some colonies until about 30 years later.
Slavery was practiced regularly by the various tribes which existed in North and South America, long before European immigrants arrived.

It is a historical fact that when the colonies were established slavery was a widespread almost universal phenomenon. Slaves of every race existed somewhere in the world and it was often as not based on conquest, not what we today consider racism. African slaves were imported for labor in the agrarian South, the Caribbean islands, and the South American colonies of Spain and Portugal because One, they were available from traders on the African continent, and two they were adapted to the hot climate thus more able than most to work the fields.
The ideology of racial inferiority arose as a defense against the moral condemnation of slavery being contrary to the god given equality of man. It obviously was not a founding principle of the Republic.

There were no white slaves.

Yes there were. They were called politely “indentured servants”. Other whites were taken as slaves by the local Indian tribes.

Yeah, except for the millions of white slaves taken by the Muslims and the indentured servitude of the Irish.

Many English, Irish, and Scottish immigrants were transported to the U.S. and the West Indies as indentured servants, effectively slaves. As an example, Oliver Cromwell transported tens of thousands of Irish Catholics to the New World as an offshoot of his defeat of the Roundheads. Vagrants and petty criminals were shipped to the future United States. The mortality rate was appalling, greater than that of black slaves. Moreover, the British and Irish slaves were treated worse than the blacks because they were a smaller investment for the plantation owners. Many of the ancestors of the people of the Upland South were descendants of escaped white slaves, who moved to the Scots-Irish settlements on the frontier much as black slaves fled to the North in the 19th Century.
Do not fall for the leftist narrative that holds the enslavement of blacks as unique.

The Irish might disagree with you about no white slaves. As I understand it, the reason the Brits turned to Africans was their Irish slaves couldnt tolerate the heat in the sugar cane fields. That didnt mean that they eliminated their Irish slaves elsewhere in the new world.
