The Chinese army of Mao soundly routed the American divisions it opposed in Korea. In fact, it drove the Americans south and nearly off the peninsula.
There are untold numbers of American graves still on the north Korean roadsides. President Trump received 7 or so but there are literally hundreds, perhaps thousands still there

It did this feat of arms because of numbers and inferior American general ship. The Americans given good generals and proper arms then defeated the north Korean army.

I have long posted that a black swan of some sort is coming and that it likely will have much to do with our national debt, on the books and off, and the likely ravages of inflation.

So I believe there will be a redefining of the American currency, but it will be reactive rather than part of a plan against China.

We have been able to live on the credit card for decades now because we are the world's currency, the world superpower, the world's largest economy, which has avoided inflation by shipping manufacturing to China and importing cheap labor across the Mexican border and because we are the reserve currency of the world.

Those days inevitably will come to an end and when they do, America will do well to come out of it strong.

It is a “historical fact” that when the colonies were established slavery was a widespread almost universal phenomenon. Slaves of every race existed somewhere in the world and it was often as not based on conquest, not what we today consider racism. African slaves were imported for labor in the agrarian South, the Caribbean islands, and the South American colonies of Spain and Portugal because One, they were available from traders on the African continent, and two they were adapted to the hot climate thus more able than most to work the fields.

The ideology of racial inferiority arose as a defense against the moral condemnation of slavery being contrary to the god given equality of man. It obviously was not a founding principle of the Republic.

They are so cheap it does not matter. It not so much as the code is crap but it unsustainable. A CIO does not care if code says: a=a+1;a=a+1;a=a+1 or a=a+3. It gets the job done of adding 3 to a. But the first is a lot more difficult to maintain.

As I have discovered on more than a few upgrades where the original was done by Indians: the cheap comes out expensive. Sometimes more expensive than the original implementation.

I have 40 years of experience so I know of what I speak.
