Obozo was replacing great generals/top brass with leftist yes men at a rapid pace.
Admirals and Generals were always ‘political’ appointments and had to be ‘political’ to get beyond O-6. But the politics have changed. The difference between parties used to be mostly on socioeconomic issues. On national security the parties were still both American. That has not been the case for a few decades now.
Ever get a look at the last man made General of the Army, Omar Bradley?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omar_Bradley
In high school (early to mid-1960s (a long time ago)), my physics teacher was a former Marine who had been pretty badly disabled from wounds he received fighting in the islands. About Christmas time, he became too ill to continue teaching and a substitute was brought in to take over the class.
He was a retired US Army Brigadier General; had been a tank platoon commander in Europe during WWII. Looked almost exactly like Boris Karloff (at a time when Karloff horror movies were all over TV).
Turned out to be a bit of a joker: “1944-45, I toured Western Europe, turret class.” The Germans? “If I started shooting at them at the distance they started shooting at me, my shell would have bounced off of the ground twice on the way to the target! We had to sneak around to their sides and shoot them in the butt!” Substitute teaching? “Don’t need the income. Frankly, I got bored sitting at home and needed something to do.”
Very interesting for us boys to briefly talk to him after class about his military adventures.
AMEN to that!
I disagree only on your last point. The joint chiefs and upper brass I don’t think will follow an order to put down an inserection if Trump declares one. I think they will mutiny and I think Trump knows this and is not going to do anything until after the election.
The joint chiefs in history have swung to and fro from: Truman doubting them, Ike knowing what they were about thus they had not try and BS him, JFK really doubting them, LBJ ignoring them, Nixon being a CNC and giving marching orders, Ford kind of like we are not doing anything right now go play and do what you want, Carter holding them in disdain, Reagan being a CNC, but willing to listen to solid advice, BushI a total tool of the joint chiefs, Clinton hated them but used them and they used him, BushII did whatever they told him to do, same with Obama to a point, they knew he would let them continue the unending wars if they did the social experiments he wanted and expected Hillary to do the same and with Trump all that went away.
God bless our President
Hi.
Sometimes it’s difficult to find a priest in a remote AO.
Sometimes Mass is far and few between.
Good call Mr. President.

Forgot...
“Sometimes its difficult to find a priest in a remote AO.”
Or a pastor of any denomination.

If active duty can report to station and do work, they can opt-in and got to church.
Ugh. He’d probably he happy to escort President Trump out of office.
We will have to agree to disagree...IF (and that is a big IF) Trump were to issue an order to use the Insurrection Act, whoever refuses the order would be dismissed...as long as it was lawful (more to follow on that) not every single solider is going to refuse the order. He may have to remove a few generals to get there, but it will get done. For the protests/riots going on a few weeks/months ago, in my opinion, that does not rise to the level of an Insurrection Act especially since there is/was ample local/state law enforcement available, and it was generally localized rioting (multiple locations, yes, but not widespread). It was the leadership of those cities chose to ignore what was happening and to bait Trump to “pull the trigger”, which he was smart not to do...sad for those that were injured, lost their life and lost their homes/businesses, but the local leadership’s fault. Trump, again in my opinion, was throwing it out there (Insurrection Act) basically to troll the Dems, (perhaps have some of the Pentagon show their true colors) but, he did lay down the marker that he MAY declare Antifa (and similar) as a domestic terrorist group. And IF he does that, all bets are off, though I think he’ll largely order federal law enforcement to put a stop to it along w/ federalized national guard, if the states won’t ante up.
This retired Army Officer has said since the 2016 election that Trump should have fired every 3 and 4 star officer on his first day in office. They were Obama officers, with not the slightest ability to win wars but only there to fit his mold of political correctness. Now they have mutated into treasonous poison and gotten worse instead of better.
When the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs apologizes publicly for walking with the President in public, there is a huge problem. When the Sec Def disagrees with the President in public, there is a huge problem. Trust this retired Army Officer, there is a huge problem.
Thank you for your service, but frankly, I, as a citizen, do not want the Secretary of Defense and/or Chairman of Joint Chiefs partaking in anything political, photo op, or otherwise. That’s why they apologized...it felt political to them. The military and politics need to be as separate...no matter who POTUS is.
He may fire enough to get to someone who will obey the order eventually. Mattis as Sec. of Defense was openly talking a coup with other members of the cabinet when he was at DOD. That is astounding that a Sec. of Defense and former Marine general was talking about a coup and removal of a duly and legally elected president.
I fully expect that if Trump is re-elected the deep state: CIA, DOD, FBI etc... with the Democrats, elites, media, NeverTrumpers and RINO-McRomney Republicans blessings will attempt to assassinate Trump.
I hope it doesn’t come to Trump invoking the Insurrection Act but as with Lincoln in 1861 the Democrats may force the issue and war upon us again.
That is what I keep yammering...I am counting on a complete cleansing of many departments...top brass at the Pentagon, Chris Wrey at FBI, and the list goes on.
