I wrote my first commentary on Covid-19 back in January. The numbers were small back then, but a worldwide pandemic already seemed possible. I wrote, Confirmed cases of the virus have popped up in 13 countries so far. That includes, as of this writing, five confirmed cases in the United States. Five Americans out 327 million may not seem like much. But the point is, its here!
And it would soon be here in a big way! To fight it, Americans and the rest of the world mobilized resources in one of the biggest scientific efforts in history. But the world hasnt just been battling with big stuff. Much of the battle centers on simple things like washing hands and wiping down counters.
People around the word are disinfecting everything within reach. We are washing our hands after touching any new object, often with antimicrobial soap. When we dont have soap, were using antimicrobial gels on our hands. In our homes, cars, offices, and schools, were using bleach or alcohol on every accessible surface. Retail establishments are doing something similar with industrial strength disinfectants. Theyre spraying down products, shelves, seats, counters, and cash. Airlines now clean planes using massive doses of disinfectants.
We have no choice. We must fight this disease. But if you think Covid is bad, wait until you see what were creating. Our Covid response is generating a whole new set of monsters!
You may have heard me mention what the UKs Chief Medical Officer at the time, Dame Sally Davies, called the superbug apocalypse. She gave that warning in 2013. By March of 2018, CBS News reported, Experts estimate that 700,000 people die around the world each year from drug-resistant superbugs, and they expect the number to grow sharply.
Jesus prophesied that the time shortly before His return would be characterized by certain disasters, including pestilences. Covid-19 represents one of those pestilences. But our response may be exacerbating the mega-pestilence we already knew was coming. Superbugs are the result of the overuse of antibiotics. Because only the strongest bacteria survive such drugs, only the strongest germs multiply. Their survivors tend to be antibiotic resistant.
An infectious disease doctor with Stanford Health Care said, There is concern that continued antibiotic resistance could lead us to a post-antibiotic world in which infections are no longer treatable. In a post-antibiotic world a simple cut could be fatal.
According to the CDC, the numbers are already huge. They say, More than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur in the US each year, and more than 35,000 people die as a result. And were only at the beginning of the superbug apocalypse. Scientists warn that it could explode onto the scene in the next few years.
Heres the connection with Covid-19. Its not just antibiotic drugs that create superbugs. So do disinfectants. An article in ScienceAlert.com said, Even high-strength hospital disinfectant is losing its effectiveness against superbugs, scientists have warned, with bacteria learning to adapt to survive in the face of alcohol-based hand sanitizers Its the alcohol in particular that the bugs are becoming more resistant too, according to new research.
In other words, while fighting the virus, were creating a new breed of bacteria. That means were heading toward a world of super-pestilences. And were headed there faster than previously imagined. Science said it was coming. The Bible said it 2,000 years ago!
The good news is that these are yet more signs of the soon return of Jesus Christ.
Thanks for posting this bro!
It is yet another sign as Hal puts it.
That's how evolution works.
"Stay healthy--eat more dirt"
Not a new concept, been around for awhile. Why isn’t on TV anymore?
Adaptation.
The sanitizing craze will have (if it hasn’t already) an unintended side effect - a lack of natural immunity to the next bug.
I don’t take extraordinary precautions regarding my health, and while I do wash my hands regularly I’m not fanatical about sanitizing everything. And I grew up playing in the dirt. While growing up, my immune system got lots of practice. :)
Hal Lindsey?
That old charlatan isn’t dead yet?
What a shame.
"The hell you say!"
Whenever Hal Lindsay gets mentioned, I think they’re talking about Hal Linden.
I always wash my hands before I pee
My body has absorbed so much hand sanitizer that when I pee it cleans the toilet.
Research the Walkerton ecoli outbreak. Blamed on agricultural ecoli getting into town water system.
None of the country kids from farms got sick...only those who usually drank chlorinated H2O
I went to Fergusons Plumbing Supply to pick up some fixtures for a remodel I am working on. The people there are doing the COVID BS to be compliant with our tyrant governors edicts to be in business.
We had a good laugh about keeping plumbers safe from diseases. Plumbers probably have the most bulletproof immune systems of anyone on the planet!
dittos :)
Not surprised in the least.
Antibiotics should never have been prescribed to freely and without thought of the consequences. If they had been saved for true, life threatening infections, we would not be in the mess we’re in with antibiotic resistant everything.
And people would have immune systems that know how to fight infection. and likewise, allergies would be less of an issue.
Creating monsters... There are at least two steps in the process, and probably a lot more. If you create a cold bug that’s resistant to treatment, it doesn’t follow that you’ve created a monster that’s going to rip your eyeballs out and eat ‘em for lunch. It just means you’ve helped bring about a cold virus that you’re not going to be able to treat and you’re just going to have to put up with the sniffles for a while. in other words, resistance to the standard treatment, doesn’t automatically confer a whole new viciousness or a whole new mode of attack. imo
My wife gets upset when I spill food on the kitchen counter, and then I use my fork to scoop it back onto my plate. She's freaked out about germs, constantly spraying antiseptic spray on her hands after touching anything. Me, I take my risks, remembering my childhood where I ate anything I could get my hands on no matter where it came from. Me and my friends would pick blackberries from bushes and toss them in our mouths, and then later notice dogs pissing on the bushes. Oh well, they tasted good.
I dont take extraordinary precautions regarding my health, and while I do wash my hands regularly Im not fanatical about sanitizing everything. And I grew up playing in the dirt. While growing up, my immune system got lots of practice. :)

With you on all that.
Constant application of alcohol and other skin disinfectants strip away protective oils. Elderly have thinner skin. Could they be thinning their skin even further &/or absorbing the disinfectants, or at least making it easier for microbes to enter the body?
We backed off the excessive use of hand sanitizers and more than *normal* hand washing after noticing very dry skin with redness and some cracking. I use aloe to moisturize.
Well, duh. This has been known for decades.
