In Response to CNN's Wolf Blitzer, Bill Barr Busts the Myth of 'Systemic Racism' in Police and the Justice System

On Wednesday, Attorney General William Barr directly contradicted the idea that there is “systemic racism” among police departments and in America’s justice system. He admitted that some police may be racist but insisted that America’s systems are have been reformed in order to combat racism. While the attorney general said some further reform is still necessary, he firmly rejected the notion of “systemic racism.”

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer asked Barr whether there are “two justice systems” for white and black Americans.

“No, I don’t think there are two justice systems,” the attorney general said. “I think the narrative that the police are on some epidemic of shooting unarmed black men is simply a false narrative, and also the narrative that that’s based on race.”

“The fact of the matter is, it’s very rare for an unarmed African American to be shot by a white police officer. There were ten cases last year, six of them the suspect was attacking the police officer physically. So they are rare things compared to the 7,000-8,000 young black men who are killed every year,” Barr explained.

Blitzer mentioned Barr’s denial of the idea that there is “systemic racism” in the justice system.

“To me the word ‘systemic’ means that it’s built into the institution and I don’t think that’s true,” the AG said. “I think our institutions have been reformed in the past 60 years, and if anything is built-in, it’s a bias to nondiscrimination and safeguards against [racism.]”

“Racism usually means that I believe that because of your race you’re a lesser human being than me. I think there are people in the United States who feel that way but I don’t think it is as common as people suggest and I think we have safeguards to ensure ”

Such common sense needs to be more common.

It grinds my gears how the left can make any assertion at all, with absolutely no factual backing, and it’s treated like wisdom by the media, (I know, left, media, redundant).

Well done by Barr.

I loved how when Blitz started to yammer and interrupt, Barr told him to shut up and let him talk. Blitz was stunned into silence.

Well Blitz should have resorted to the democratic congressional tactic that proved all the dems are asses and reclaimed his time before his question could be answered.

It’s a tactic Hannity uses as well, and it annoys the hell out of me. Hannity asks a reasonable question and then doesn’t let a perfectly coherent individual actually answer, often a better answer than the answer that Hannity had in mind when he asked the question.

No, I don’t think there are two justice systems,” the attorney general said.

Do any of us here believe there are not two justice systems?

"“No, I don’t think there are two justice systems,” the attorney general said."

I don't accept that statement as long as Hillary, Brennan, Schiff and the rest are walking around free.

I want him busting people, not myths. A serious crackdown on rampant violence by the DOJ would send a clear signal to the thugs and anarchists. We need action, not words. Time for rhetoric is over.

That was my takeaway from the article.

It’s give and take for Bilbo.

When “grilled” by congress, he boasted about his fairness in also taking down Trump supporters.

Here, he generally defends the police, but promulgates one of the Rats’ biggest lies, of liberty and justice for all.

That was a laughable statement by Barr. The legal elites insult us by saying there are no Republican or Democrat justices on the Supreme Court and that we don’t have a two justice system.

Both statements are brazen lies.

Does anyone believe he wants to defend taking action before the election?

Besides, if the Pedoohile wins, Bilbo can go back to being respected by both aisles of the uniparty.

I like Hannity, but there are many times I simply cannot watch his show. He is much better on radio. You forgot to mention that Hannity will run over his guest and say the same thing we have heard him say verbatim a hundred times before.

It really is a shame because he has terrific guest. His format needs to have three segments (not 10) and allow for his guests to speak without being interrupted endlessly.

We all know what Hannity will say. I want to hear what John Solomon says.

P.S. - dump Geraldo. He has too many Juan Williams moments. Put Levin on more often (the only guest he does not interrupt).

There ARE two justice systems, but not in a racial way. There is one system for working class, conservative citizens, and another system for Democrats, illegals, rap-sheeted criminals, BLM, Antifa, rioters and vandals.

Need some link to data source to substantiate the ten number.

We keep hearing a wide variety of numbers, although all in the same neighborhood.

The last count for murders committed by BLM is 37. That is from the 33 number being repeated and then adding people as they occur. Need data source for that number as well.

I don’t know when/where the idea of resisting LEO (specifically for traffic) came from. LEO is the State. When approached by the State, hold your peace at that moment, if at all possible. Afterward, get a lawyer, as necessary.
