Gresham has also declined and the Oregon Association Chiefs of Police backed the sheriffs.
Wheeler can pick up the phone any time and call the President. So can the Governor. He'll take their call.

Why take a brick for the Governor when she is the first one to have you charged for Police Brutality.

Wow. Police and Sheriffs telling the Governor, they will not be cannon fodder for her political photo-ops.
This is a big deal.

Nothing can get better while the new portland DA is in there.
What’s the point of throwing more law enforcement resources in there when the DA consistently drops the vast majority of charges?

Why would cops arrest anyone since the government is letting them out of jail??

Bravo to the Sheriffs for watching out for their people. It stinks for the people trapped in Portland but...elections have consequences. Maybe next time they’ll elect someone with backbone and respect for law and order. Portland, this is what you asked for, now you have it. How does it taste?
To: blueplum
Good for them. Why risk your life to round up these a-holes if the D.A. and Attorney General’s Office aren’t going to prosecute. The A.G. is a female...Democrat. All this liberalness is getting people killed.

Increasing law enforcement resources in Portland will not solve the nightly violence and now, murder, the sheriff said.
He's right, of course. The DA has unveiled his plan to refuse to charge any of the rioters for most crimes - what's the point of law enforcement from other Oregon precincts sending their people into harm's way for some farce?
To: blueplum
...the sheriff said... The only way to make Portland safe again, is to support a policy that holds offenders accountable for their destruction and violence. The sheriff is channeling Trump.

When the DA will not prosecute the rioters, but will prosecute any misstep by a cop, cops from outlying areas wont help. Were seeing exactly this same thing with the City of Atlanta, DA Paul Howard, and the suburban city and county PDs. No mutual aid for CoA, just as were seeing no mutual aid for Portland in this story.

Gee, what on earth will the governor, and antifa (but I repeat myself) do when Patriot Prayer and the Proud Boys come back this weekend?
What if it’s a 1,000 truck caravan populated with men with rifles?

Soros financed the election of these Democratic DAs that refuse to prosecte rioters, looters and people who perform felonius assault. If they are arrested they are released almost immedeatly to resume rioting. Why sholud police and sheriffs risk their lives and well being to do a fool’s errand? There is collusion between the Democrat elected officials, the DAs and the rioting paid criminals. The police are being squeezed and sacrificed.
To: blueplum
I find this rather amusing and quite appropriate. Also, VERY necessary.
