“So you can imagine the consternation among social conservatives and Evangelical Christians when the Trump campaign erased those significant campaign issues from their official second term agenda.”
Grade “A” BS!
First things first. Trump has to advertise issues that will get him reelected or none of this matters.
This article as an example, plus their paywall for garbage, is why I never venture into Clownhsll anymore.
I agree.......
I did not know Starnes was anti Trump. He was fired from Fox; and use to be a good guy...but NOT like bill krystal
DoughtyOne posted that clarity.
I agree with your post #9 about Townhall.......
Thanks..I missed it...
Thanks for your good words on this issue.
The so called missing Second Amend., more judges and supporting religious rights were all mentioned by Pres. Trump in his acceptance speech in front of the White House.
He will win and deliver these promises it enough of we patriots vote for him in November.
I am not positive on the pro-life part but I distinctly remember hearing how he will defend the 2nd Amendment. Hell, he says that in just about every speech. I think this is a troll attempting to spread discord.
Your suggestions are good.
I’d add a few the other way.
1. Issue a blanket amnesty for expatriate Americans in regard to back taxes.
The most common job for Americans living over seas is, depending on how you count them, either a school teacher of a missionary. Neither job is one you typically get rich at. Yet, the US, Cuba and (I think) Libya are the only three countries that tax citizen income when they live over seas.
Anyone who lives overseas for any length of time is almost by default considered to be a tax cheat and many get audited.
Allow any expatriate who didn’t leave the US to avoid taxation, to return and bring back any wealth they’ve accumulated tax free.
2. Legal immigrants with money must pay a huge tax on wealth they bring into the country. This cause many of them to simply not report the money at all. Let LEGAL immigrants bring their wealth into the US Tax-Free.
3. Stop treating legal expatiates like criminals. Missionaries and school teachers should be able to open a bank account and investment account overseas. Now they can’t because the US requires that not US bank report those accounts to the IRS because, in violation of the expatriate’s constitutional rights, they are assumed to be criminals simply because they live oversea.
Here is the rule that should replace all of that.
If you live over seas for 300 days a year. Have and established residence in a foreign nation for employment, educational or family reason, and have no real property in the US except an IRA/401K you do not owe either US income tax or Social Security and do not have to file. Any salary or remuneration earned overseas is not taxes by the US.
This would bring the US in line with other nations like the UK, France and even some rather socialist nations like the PRC
Sorry, this is my soapbox.
Arrrrgh, Typing slower than I think
Should have said:
Stop treating legal expatiates like criminals. Missionaries and school teachers should be able to open a bank account and investment account overseas. Now they cant because the US requires that NON US banks report those accounts to the IRS.
This is clear in violation of the expatriates constitutional rights, they are assumed to be criminals simply because they live oversea.
Kushner.
Never get in the way when your opponents are destroying themselves.
I may be wrong about Starnes but it sure reads like a never Trumper stirring up trouble. Town hall does have some moles.
I agree.
Some of these sites trash him because they are desperate to
be able to some day say, “See, we told you so.”
That moment just isn’t happening for them.
I agree with your change there.
