Netanyahu: 'Many more' secret talks with Arab nations after US-brokered UAE agreement
Fox News ^ | August 30 2020 | Lucas Manfredi

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that there are "many more unpublicized meetings with Arab and Muslim leaders to normalize relations with the state of Israel" following its historic peace agreement with the United Arab Emirates brokered by the United States earlier this month.

The comment comes on the heels of a formal decree by the ruler of the UAE on Saturday ending the country's boycott of Israel, which has opened trade and commerce between the two nations. The decree formally eliminates a 1972 law on the UAE's books since just after the country's formation, which mirrored the widely held stance by Arab nations at the time that recognition of Israel would only come after the Palestinians had an independent state of their own.

Netanyahu said the UAE's decision opens the door for "unbridled trade, tourism, investments and exchanges between the Middle East's two most advanced economies" and thanked the Trump administration for their support in brokering the historic deal.

Hopefully, there will be many more deals between Arab states and Israel that will be made public before the election. This is a very big win for Trump foreign policy.

I never expect those entities to repay what we have done
for them. Their minds just don’t seem to work that way.

The people of Kuwait may be better than I thing. Just no so
sure...

Bibi would have asked for Joe's opinion, but he doesn't have the bunker number. Imagine, the world is going on, without the help of Biden/Obama and their accomplishments. After all, Barak set the standard, if you're meeting with a head of state, and you're hungry, you go eat with your family and tell him to wait. If said head of state is a Jew. Better than Clinton I suppose, who kept a prominent Arab terrorist waiting while he mentored an intern.

Sudan seems eager to get a deal with Israel.

The islamist dictator (Bashir) who took over Sudan in a coup, and ruled it for three decades - who ran murderous jihads against the Christians in the South, who employed one of Obama’s half brothers, and who harbored Osama bin Laden - has himself been overthrown this last April, and is now facing the death penalty in a trial.

Bahrain will likely be the test case for the Saudis. If the Saudis sign up (hello Neom), than anyone who is anyone in the Sunni Arab world is likely to get on board.

“Kuwait owes us”

There is still a reservoir of good will toward America in Kuwait for liberation from Saddam. That is going to help.

But the elites there have long been accustomed to paying into the “religious” charities that funded anti-Israeli propaganda and terrorism. The population (like most Gulf Arabs) has received a big dose of indoctrination, for a long time.

The Gulf Arabs have no doubt been discussing a Grand Deal to recognize Israel amongst themselves, since Trump took office. The sword of the Iranian threat dangles over all their heads.

There is a good chance that they are all on board (except maybe Qatar), and just rolling out in a cautious manner, to manage domestic political blowback.

Some may want/need to hedge their bets, until after the US elections.

Technically, they don’t. We actually sent them a bill and they paid it in cash.

“they (Kuwait) paid it in cash.”

That shows a degree of appreciation, that the USA seldom gets, for the good we have done for others. Only the Dutch paid us for their liberation in WWII.

I have been approached by random Kuwaitis in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, who expressed apparently heartfelt gratitude - even many years after the Gulf War (e.g. 2008). I was impressed that it seemed genuine and unprovoked - by strangers with nothing to gain.
