The Bakke decision and the story of the man who got into med school instead of Bakke is an interesting cautionary tale.
You probably have a lot of poor black babies seriously ill because their mothers were drug addicted in the cities and they are brought to major urban hospitals which are staffed mostly by white doctors.
In all my experience doctors in these hospitals are the least racist people I can imagine and strive to give absolute care to all their patients even those that can not afford a penny of care.
That’s why I think this is a horrifyingly evil story.
