Working overseas pretty much cured me of flying domestic American flagged airlines. I literally drive everywhere and plan accordingly these days.
Emirates, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, KLM etc.. all considered passengers as respected paying & hopefully repeat customers.

One particular R&R I returned to the States and switched to a Delta 777 from Heathrow. There was an immediate downgrade in appearance of the aircraft, personnel and customer service. The plane was dirty. It had not been cleaned from the previous flight...yuck. The flight attendants were plump surly women with ensuant attitudes. I had a nine hour flight ahead.

Do not get me started ranting about United Airlines - would prefer they go out of business into the junk bin of history.

“Even those unable to wear a mask are out of luck, according to the new policy.”

They don’t have problems with people bringing their support pigs.

What about the ADA? Do airlines get a special exemption?

Good response. I got yelled across 4 lanes check out lanes in the grocery store this morning saying I was selfish for not wearing one. I will wear one when required, but may not if it isn’t, depending on circumstances. I just told him that was his opinion, not mine, shook my head and pulled out the mask that I made out of my late husband’s sock and put it on. :)

My mask is the free one I got at costco a couple of months ago. I cut slits in it at the top of each fold. They spread out to 1/4” most of the way across. I can breathe like I’m not wearing a mask, and nobody bothers me. But I only wear it at costco. Nobody else forces me to wear a mask.

Yep. They hold their airlines as statements of their personal reputations. No way a guest is going to be subjected to anything less than the owner’s personal reputation.

I’m in the airline industry. We also know who maintains their airplanes and who skimps by doing the least. Delta sucks more than the rest.

So, if you're banned from flying for not wearing a mask what're you gonna do, tough guy?

Well, if it were me, and I was banned from flying, I'd celebrate!!!!

Company can't send me off anywhere.....
I hate flying and do anything I can to avoid it

I’ve already had Covid.
I can’t get it and I can’t give it.
I still wear a mask because I don’t want to keep explaining why I don’t need one.

“Getting kicked off a flight and banned from an airline.”

Sounds like a win-win situation to me. A little corner of Heaven never being able to get on a plane again.

(And people laugh when it’s said masks may be the mark of the beast. Look how it’s separating decent people from easily manipulated mask-cult people.)

“business down 75% or more...turns away paying customers. smart move.”

It’s been said many times here: It’s not about a virus. It’s not about business. It’s about liberal control, and Trump not being re-elected.

That’s a great idea! I have a couple of free ones. I go to physical therapy twice a week, since I had my knee replaced in May. I have to wear it then. Had to wear it when I picked up my mom from her nursing home to take her to an important Dr appt many miles away. The Dr office and the nursing home both took my temp, but said nothing about the mask. I can breathe through the sock. One reason I wear it is because my husband HATED it if I word his sock. Nobody else has even said anything to me. Even the guy who screamed at me and I put it on. So, now I wear one as a mask and just smile the whole time. Both because of my late husband and because it is a well worn sock!

Geez Francis, lighten up. A mask is not “the mark of the beast”. And decent people willingly wear masks. They’re not particularly bright, but they’re still decent.

I like traveling and will continue to travel. If I have to wear a silly mask to travel, then I will begrudgingly do so.

Serious question for you: When you can’t travel without a vaccine and accompanying “tatoo” that proves you are properly vaccinated, then what?

Or, when everything about you—medical, financial, historical, geneological—is on a chip under your skin, and you can’t travel unless you have THAT, then what?

That’s why I have the modified one.

“Even those unable to wear a mask are out of luck, according to the new policy.”

If so, then Delta left themselves open to a law suit under HIPPA, ADA, etc.

You must have flown on some of the post merger Northwest or Pan Am jets.

At the time Delta acquired Pan Am in the early 90’s, the Pan Am jets were severely neglected and barely airworthy. Delta had to spend all sorts of money to bring them up to standard.

The jets acquired from Northworst were hardly better than the Pan Am jets

I hope their airline swirls the drain. But this was diabolically brilliant by the fascists; to humiliate people publicly, identify the sheep on sight, and cause fights even right here between freedom lovers and the more liberal and compliant members of this forum.

Delta has always been a company with spending priority issues. They blow through budgets without results. It’s like there’s no adult supervision over there in Atlanta.
