The Democrat stooges in CA will force those in the suburbs, those with a bit of extra room, like the extra bedroom, and will assign these people to these homes. If the homeowner don’t comply, they’ll shut off his water and power.

I figure if by now people haven’t tried to get work or understand their former job isn’t coming back, then they’re just looking for a free ride. It’s been months now since this began and most places are back to working.

Because they knew that they couldn’t be evicted. Bad things happen when CONSEQUENCES ARE REMOVED.

I know, they should keep the state as shutdown as possible. I am SURE that will fix it!

" They won’t let people work. How can we pay rent if we can’t work. It’s so insane."

It's vicious and deliberate. Democrat party does NOT CARE ABOUT ANYONE OR ANYTHING.

Where is nancy pelosi wagging her finger about this? She accused Trump of not wanting to give ‘children enough food to eat’ basically, when talking about the EO Trump gave on the stimulus

After this wave of evictions landlords will have to lower the rents of the apartments and houses if they want any tenants. of course they can keep demanding a high price, this leaves them empty and they lose them to the bank.

If the landlord is too tightly leveraged that he defaults on his mortgage, then the bank will take it back and resell it at a lower price. The new landlord/owner will be able to charge lower rent. Or the bank might hire a rental agency to rent out all the units it repossesses.

I remember in 1992 some Indian dude owned a thousand rental houses in Los Angeles. Recession came and the bank took them all back. They probably hired a rental agency and they were rented out at a lower price. Why? It was hard for the bank to sell them/. The bank waits a few years and is able to sell them at a decent price

Then you should damned well support The President’s bold initiative to end the pain and give these needy families the relief they need

Oh, and I’m not one bit happy about writing that check but, reality dictates some expediency

We are. And we have repeatedly bailed them out. Trump will go with endless relief packages, aka blue state bailoouts. If CA reopens, they might have to pay their own bills.
He is incentivizing by monetizing tyanny. The state with the biggest populations get the most cash.

It always amazes me how people automatically dump on the landlords, many of which are the ultimate "Small Business owner". These same people would never say it's ok to load up a cart at the local grocery store and walk out without paying.

I am not now, nor have I ever been a Landlord. I would burn the place to the ground before I'd let someone stay for free, against my will.

We are. They get all kinds of goodies.

Of course I think evictions should still be legal since landlords still have to pay all their expenses. And so on. Banks will fold if they don’t get mortgage payments.

Evictions are still legal, just not anything that's Federally backed. Section 8, VA loans, FHA loans, etc. Unless, of course, the State issued a hold on all evictions, but the Federal one only applies to Federally-involved stuff.

The courts are pretty backed up/not open though, so if the tenant refuses to leave and you have to force the eviction, it's gonna be a long while til you can get the court order.
