I’m not so sure why we are so insistent on referring to it as a gaffe. In a way, that is providing covering fire for him as well. It wasn’t a gaffe. He didn’t misspeak. He revealed his true inner thoughts and feelings about blacks, plain and simple.

Anyone can look at exit polling data by race and see who is the least diverse racial group by their political party vote. We are so weak and cringing as a nation that saying a truth that is never said publicly is some sort of scandal. I didn’t hear one public voice from the right point this out, I hope someone did.

And of course pandering Joe apologizes for his clear and true statement because it hurts him with the very diverse black vote. Ridiculous.
