Previous comment by Mayor Garcetti:

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti backed violent demonstrations in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday, referring to mobs that have attacked a federal courthouse as “the best of our democratic ideals” and slamming federal law enforcement’s response

His opinion seems to have changed when the chickens come home to roost.

Wow, things may get ugly. So now there are demands to cancel rent.

Wouldn’t there be a major economic upheaval in housing, if suddenly tenants didn’t have to pay rent?

Next up, demands that mortgages don’t have to be paid.

Then maybe demands for free food and free Netflix will be next.

And in states where legal, free marijuana.

Been happening here in California for awhile already:

Coronavirus CA: Gov. Newsom extends state eviction moratorium through September
Gov. Gavin Newsom extended an authorization allowing local governments to delay evictions through the end of September for renters impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

What’s behind your mask, Garcetti?

You say you want a revolution?

Be careful, White Privileged.

Mobs - house/family. Soft targets

Well, the city can pay their rents, but they can’t cancel them without going full on fascist.

Next up, demands that mortgages don’t have to be paid.

My sister bought a house just before the 2008 housing collapse. She never so much as paid a single months mortgage after the second month. She’s been negotiating with the bank ever since - while remaining in the house. She finally left about 8 months ago.

She was in the real estate finance business and knew how the system worked. But she lived in a house for free for over a decade. When loans were bundled for resale on the investment market, a lot of deeds and promissory notes (the two sides of a mortgage) were separated, making it very difficult for banks to prove they had standing regarding note payments. My sister exploited that.

So the cops protect the mayor and Arrest protestors, but watch rioters burn down private businesses. We know who they answer to, and its not us.

Owners that don't have to pay mortgages, buildings that don't have to be repaired.....

These liberal Mayors always call the cops when it’s their property and personal safety being threatened, but could care less about anybody else’s safety or property.
