The positive: they aren't using this (yet) as a platform to attack Trump or Ron DeSantis....they're just repeating the same mainstream media crap that we have heard for many weeks.

The negative: the fake news media suddenly cares about what a bunch of corporatists say....

The last spike came and continues since mask rules became common.

Could there be a connection?

You are not suppose to notice that.

These CEOs have seen how acquiescent and self-deprecating most Americans have become ... bowing at the feet of blm racists and cowering in abject fear of politicians and unelected bureaucrats. The CEOs just want to get in on the action of controlling increasingly pliable, obedient scared Americans.

We have a high concentration of imbeciles here in Utah who will totally agree with this abject lunacy!

Americans are sheep!

Wait until hundreds or more are in shelters when the hurricane arrives. That ought to be fun. It may not be this one coming this weekend, but definitely it will happen before November.

Is there any PROOF that face masks stop or even materially slow down the spread of a Coronavirus?

Or is it just an article of faith that I’m supposed to accept without question?

I’m not what I call a covid scaredy baby. It’s a virus with a 99.7% survival rate. But I do know it’s an unpleasant illness that I’d prefer to avoid.

That said, I’m softening on my view of masks. First, the transmission is aerosol. It’s reasonable to expect that a mask will block a substantial fraction of aerosol expulsion. It’s just counter intuitive to think a mask on an infected person wouldn’t mitigate the risk.

Secondly, there is the case of the 2 infected hairstylists who had 139 clients before they realized they were infected. None of the clients were infected.

After more than 50 years in south Florida I finally escaped about five years ago...none too soon.

I truly despise the Sun Sentinel. I see that now they have taken to capitalizing the “b” in black when referring to a black person. I guess that will obsolete the previous virtue signal “African-American.”

Yup. The typical CEO anymore is sadly an empty suit looking to bide his time and avoid the Twittermobs until their next quarterly bonus rolls around.

Would help to list WHO these CEO’s are.

Typically in stories like this a lot of them turn out to be with nonprofits and companies that are already known to be Lefty outfits.

Masks are the proverbial equivalent to the screen door on a submarine. On the plus side, since they do absolutely nothing to prevent airborne virus, herd immunity will grow even as the ignorant press wails about the growing number of positive cases.

You did see the analysis where the force of the sneeze blows particles out the back of the mask and up around the eyes and sides, right? It almost makes the sneeze stronger because it concentrates the stream and forces it though these small openings.

In addition, it also concentrates your own breath, so any possible contagion (it keeps out nothing the size of a virus) is concentrated and rebreathed repeatedly, this giving you the heavy viral load you need to get a really bad case.

The mask is a talisman and nothing but, and in fact will probably be acknowledged as harmful.

The case of the 2 infected stylists is hard to ignore.

It’s not the mask, it’s the hands touching the mask and everything else in creation. According to medical people, if you touch your mask you must change it immediately. If you cough or sneeze into it you must change it immediately. If you touch your clothing you must change it immediately.

Masks as a concept are fine. In practice they are ridiculous because no one properly follows the protocols required for safety and effectiveness.

Improperly worn and used masks spread disease.

They are trying to push a new lockdown. When the “Superflu” strains shows up this fall (that new G4 EA H1N1 and other H1N1 strains), in combo with a surge in Covid cases, they will lock down again.

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Sweden’s top epidemiologist said on Tuesday a rapid decline in new critical COVID-19 cases alongside slowing death rates indicated that Sweden’s strategy for slowing the epidemic, which has been widely questioned abroad, was working.
