The long-awaited testimony of Trumps most powerful Cabinet member yielded more venting than questions, and few answers. Theres a reason for that.
House Democrats have been waiting for more than a year to grill Attorney General Bill Barr, a man theyve accused of all manner of professional misconductincluding repeatedly and inappropriately intervening to protect President Donald Trump and deploying federal agents to incite violence in American cities.

Bill Barr is telling the truth....that’s why they can’t nail him!!!
Democrats have a model for effective congressional oversight: last years impeachment hearings against Trump. Though the Senate did not remove the president from office, House Democrats showed how televised hearings could bring to light government conduct that had previously been shielded from public view. The charges were focused, not a hodgepodge of serious but largely unrelated scandals. Democrats turned the initial questioning over to skilled litigators and gave them time to ask witnesses detailed questions and follow-ups. Lawmakers then had their own opportunity.
Democrats departed from that format today. Only the politicians asked questions, and they had only five minutes each to do so. Many of the committees senior Democrats chose to use their limited time not to seek answers from Barr but to make speeches. Reclaiming my time quickly became the anthem of the day. This is a hearing, the attorney general complained at one point. I thought that I was the one who was supposed to be heard.
Yet there was little of the sharp, focused questioning that Democratic senators such as Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Kamala Harris of California, as well as Republican John Kennedy of Louisiana, have deployed successfully against Trump officials and nominees. Instead, Democrats found themselves hamstrung by the sheer volume of their grievancesa result of the administrations successful stonewalling of congressional oversight during the year and a half since Republicans lost their House majority. From the Robert Mueller report to the Stone case to the removal of federal prosecutors to the most recent civil-rights protests, lawmakers simply had too much to get off their chest and not enough interest in hearing what Barr had to say about it all. When Representative Hakeem Jeffries of New York asked the attorney general what hed do if Trump lost the election in November but refused to leave office in January, Barr replied: If the results are clear, I would leave office. It was a vague and evasive answer, but there was little follow-up.
The entire premise of the article is that AG Barr is bad. We just cannot exactly say why.
The author just knows he is bad.
Orange man bad! /s
Wow, the Atlantic admits the Democrats failed miserably.
They don’t have to convict him. The process is the punishment. Impeach him already.
That long list of unanswered questions are based on false premises. Democrats' lives are based on false premises. They should be ignored and excluded from every aspect of American life.
Even that hyper-liberal bastion propaganda rag The Atlantic had to admit it was just a Dem pile-on of the AG. How many actual questions did the Dems ask?
You’d think that the public beating the Democrat/Leftists went through yesterday would embarass them ... but it won’t because they have absolutely no sense of propriety. Oh, they’re angry for sure over Jordan’s opening statement and riot video (i.e., a figurative bear trap that snapped closed with great force on the Democrat/Left Party’s “Nads”) but anger is the normal state of emotion for Democrats/Leftists anyway.
Nah, just completely biased.
Hence the whole mag is described as “An American lifestyle magazine”. (from wiki)
They don’t cover anything news-worthy, only let partisan hacks venting their opinions.
Democrat/Leftists are incapable of shame or embarrassment.
The hearings are designed to get clips for MSM to manipulate the narrative
The simple explanation is they are just effing stupid. None would want to debate a 17 yo Ben Shapiro and there is not a Democrat in the country that would debate Mark levin
Although they almost denied Mr. Barr a 5 minute bathroom break, he still managed to urinate on them for about 5 hours.
