Historian Jon Meacham on Friday evening warned Democrats that even though former Vice President Joe Biden is leading President Donald Trump by double digits in nearly every poll 100 days before Election Day, a lot of people who will vote “for the incumbent are not going to tell pollsters.”
He said on MSNBC that Biden’s “campaign is being careful about this as well” because they know “it’s a long way to go.”
Meacham added that 100 days is “endless” and “an eternity” in a campaign, not the least “because of the tumult of this remarkable year.”
He referenced questions about the economy and the Coronavirus pandemic in addition to “the inherent instability” of the president.
The historian said though there is “something about the American character” that prevents the country from running “in one direction with one party for very long,” Trump has “upended” many norms.
Voters agree with Meacham’s concerns.

That’s what gives me hope President Trump still has a shot at reelection. Praying hard for enough Americans to have enough mental clarity to avoid turning the country over to the enemy. The November election will be a national IQ test.

I was gotba call from the Monmouth poll. Said I was voting for Biden. When asked why since I was a registered Repube. I said because Trump is a racist. The Gen Z twit seemed to approve. Dumbass.

Trump appeals to the labor end of that party as well as the moderates and centrists, you know, the ones who don’t want to kill white people (because they are white themselves).

Dems are nervous, someone sent out a smoke signal that the rioters are not helping, if in fact causing people to turn on the dems since Trump is making is clear that they are the ones allowing it since they run those cities.

Will Biden still have support, sure, but will it be enough for a victory, at this point, I doubt it.
I don’t answer my cell phone at work unless I recognize the number-I do the same when at home with both the cell phone and the land line-I hope that makes me a pollsters’ nightmare-my politics-or anything else, for that matter-are none of their f***ing business...
