Rene Boucher originally was given a 30-day sentence

after pleading guilty to assaulting a member of Congress.

What’s wrong with 30 days? It was only White on White violence anyway. /s

> NOT LONG ENOUGH <

Take a swing at Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer and see how many YEARS you get. But then again, they both have a (D) after their names. That makes a difference.

Life imprisonment with no parole. That's what he should get for attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, a brutal attack with intent to kill, trying to murder a sitting United States Senator for political reasons and a whole lot of other crimes.
I hope the Justice Department appeals this stupid sentence to demand a much bigger sentence.
String the the m’fer up.

Roger Stone got 4 YEARS. This guy practically killed a U.S. Senator and got 30 days and now only a few months? So If I attack and hospitalize a democrat Senator I can expect to get only a few months? That’s good to know.

Would the court have issued a longer sentence if the senator was a Democrat - you betcha. He would have gotten the full 21 months being recommended.

How do I know? 3 Months for violently attacking a US Senator is a joke.

John Conyers ballot qualification dispute

On May 23, 2014, Leitman ruled that Congressman John Conyers (D-MI 13th) could remain on the election ballot despite a dispute over the validity of signatures on his nominating petition.

Michigan election law requires at least 1,000 signatures of registered voters for a candidate to be included on a ballot; Conyers submitted 2,000 signatures, but most were ruled invalid by a county judge on the grounds that they were not collected by registered voters as required by law.

The constitutionality of this signature-gathering requirement was challenged in a lawsuit by the American Civil Liberties Union, and Leitman issued an injunction ordering that Conyers be put back on the ballot, finding that plaintiffs “have shown a substantial likelihood of success” and “time is of the essence”.

Rand oughta keep a rifle and rifle boot on his mower the next time he cuts the grass.

Purely as a hypothetical, I have to wonder what would happen if someone attacked Chuck Schumer this savagely.

Rand Paul ‘formed a brush pile NEAR their shared property line’ ?????

If it is on MY property, it is NONE of the business of my neighbor.
