When you set a nice table everyone wants to sit at it.
Oh, I “obviously haven’t,” eh? In fact, I lived in Weimar for the better part of a year once, but whatever.
So good!!!
Maybe Jesus made some change, hard to say.
I’d like a link directly to Gallup’s poll and the statistics of who they polled and when, along with their questions.
My great, great great grandparents left it for a reason.
To be fair to the Germans - that was their grandfathers or great-grandfathers. And they teach their kids every year “this is the horrible thing that our country did. Do not repeat it”
WWII ended 75 years ago, most perpetrators are dead. The Germany of today is a different country from Hitler’s Germany. Hitler’s Germany was also a different beast from WWI Germany
Id like a link directly to Gallups poll and the statistics of who they polled and when, along with their questions.

Party pooper. ;-)
I don’t particularly like Germany, but today’s Germany has some things to be admired
1. The beer is exceptional - matched only by Czech beers
2. The relationship between management and workers is exemplary
3. The focus on training and apprenticeships for people (no need for everyone to go to gender studies universities)
4. Their higher education - no pushing people to universities and no millions spent on university dorms, sports teams etc.
5. Their Mittelstand - the small to medium companies that work and specialize in niche areas and have a great relationship with their workers (over generations) and clients
6. Their work ethic
Who in the heck gives two cents what the rest of the world thinks???
Germany has become a s-hole It will produce another Hitler
LMAO
I don’t understand Germany’s placement but China has an ENORMOUS populwtion, roughly four times America’s. Russia is maybe equivalent to America.
But I don’t understand Germany.
It was nice when I was there in 1961, 1985 and 1990. Hard to believe Germany had been flattened, just 16 years after WWII!
I could drive as fast as I wanted in many places in Germany.
I was nearly arrested on an empty Interstate in Colorado. Kinda took the air out of freedom.
I lived in Germany, for 4 years. I dont have a lot of respect for Germany.
But every worldwide poll has America as the place they would choose to live.
More like Germany tried to conquer the world in the 20th century, twice, but the U.S. and Russia stopped them and their conspirators, both times.
Germany hasn’t been involved in a war in 75 years; holding current Germans responsible for that is little different than Germans throwing slavery or the forcing of Indians off their land at current Americans.
Nothing in either world war indicated global domination plans by Germany - just domination of Europe. They developed little to nothing that would project power very far. The fact that two of their primary adversaries (Britain and France) had global empires is often ignored.
Immigration patterns would certainly indicate that most people around the globe would prefer to come to the US.
And much like the libs in the US, they say "They just didn't do it right", and want to try their hand at it.
Germany has been occupied by the U.S./ NATO since 45. Unified since mid 90s, and influenced by NATO, been a coalition partner in all our wars to some extent and has internal policies that are quite leftist and leaning further.
Socially they are quite liberal like most of Europe and in decline without will and backbone to stand against the tide of secular humanism (like most modern countries).
Between Germany, Italy, Russia at first and Japan, the world indeed was their goal in the 30-40s.
But, having lived there and deployed there multiple times, most German rural folks are like us, they are losing the culture war and are a few campaigns further along than we are.
I like a few things German, but can live a/o any of them.
Walter makes handguns my wife likes.
Admired for what?
You will get different answers, for different criteria.
Which country do you most admire for their beer?
Which country do you most admire for their Dim Sum?
Which country do you most admire to lead the free world?
