The government’s official COVID-19 task force, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), highly recommends it for high-risk people like medical practitioners.
The ICMR guidelines recommend prophylactic use of HCQ for the following categories:
- “all asymptomatic healthcare workers involved in containment and treatment of COVID19 and asymptomatic healthcare workers working in non-COVID hospitals/non-COVID areas of COVID hospitals/blocks”;
- “symptomatic frontline workers, such as surveillance workers deployed in containment zones and paramilitary/police personnel involved in COVID-19 related activities”;
- and “symptomatic household contacts of laboratory confirmed cases.”
In other words, HCQ is for anyone with the slightest chance of contracting COVID-19.

Trump takes it via his own admission.

Our Medical Guru’s oppose it because it is cheap and there are no profits like they will get with new drugs. It is the old story...”Follow the Money”.

I don’t get the policy — JUST LET LICENSED DOCTORS USE THEIR BEST JUDGMENT FOR THEIR PATIENTS ! <— a very simple policy.
If you don’t want to take it, nobody is forcing you to.
*THAT* in fact, is what being really PRO-CHOICE means.

That's why people need to start taking more Vitamin C, D3 and E and the mineral zinc starting at the autumnal equinox in the USA. I cite this article:
Time for more Vitamin D

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
The false positive rate was 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's or one old farts life, it's worth it.

Why is American Thinker giving us population densities in square kilometres?! Especially galling as 2.5 sq. km. rounds nicely to one square mile.

Exactly. Remember, the party that opposes Trump calls a million dead babies per year "reproductive freedom."

Asia’s largest slum is no match for America’s democrat controlled inner cities. Not even close.

The Revised ICMR advisory on Hydroxychloroquine recommends a distance of one meter thats half the US recommendation of six feet.

If it takes a million Americans dying to get rid of Trump, that's a small price to pay, and a good head start on the what follows... And, that, my FRiend, is what this is ALL about.
Keep inexpensive AND very effective treatment outlawed (US Medical Boards threatening Docs who attempt to prescribe, per a segment last night, on Ingraham's show)....to keep that infection rate, and death rate...they wish, climbing.
Laura commented....I know there are bureaucrats in most areas of gov't, but I didn't realize they're in our medical industry, as well.
Nothing is sacred, with these evil leftists, when it comes to law abiding, Trump supporting Americans, these days.

Actually, you need a lot more than 1000 IU per day.
Immunologic Effects of Vitamin D on Human Health and Disease
Although most of the biologic effects of vitamin D have been related to its active metabolite there continues to be intriguing evidence that vitamin D itself may have its own biologic actions independent of its metabolism. Our hunter gatherer forefathers likely maintained serum vitamin D levels in the range of 1050 ng/mL (25125 nmol/L). This is supported by the observation that Maasai herders and Hadza tribesmen maintained serum 25(OH)D in the range of 4060 ng/mL (100150 nmol/L) [12,13].
To maintain these blood levels, a person would require ingesting approximately 40006000 IUs daily."

I kind of don't encourage people to take that much Vitamin D because high levels of the vitamin can be toxic, since Vitamin D is a fat-soluable vitamin. 1,000 IU per day is enough for the vast majority of people out there.
