Surgeons wear masks to protect themselves from the patient's bodily fluids, such as blood. The patients are pre-screened for viruses and diseases prior to their procedure.
You do remember all the stories that ran that said dont buy masks, they dont work anyways...? You do remember they have flipped and flopped and now say healthy people dont need them, they could actually be worse for healthy people because of oxygen reduction...
